We were in the Lake Region on a business/leisure trip and booked this hotel fairly last-minute. We called Woody, the owner, to check availability and he could not have been more helpful. We stayed in Room 102 - very clean room, great view of the lake, and quiet. Some reviewers say that the traffic on N. High St. was loud,...

Thank you for your very kind words! Gotta be honest. The "upper" rooms (all rooms are on one level, but one building is slightly higher "up" the slope down to the lake, hence the "upper") were built in the 1950's, when people finally had rubber for tires and gas for their cars. "Motor inns" and the like were designed to...

A little over 16 years ago I agreed as a favor to an old friend to spend a few weeks working and cleaning rooms at Highland Lake. It was possibly one of the best things I've ever done. This is by far one of my most favorite places in the world to visits. This past weekend I spent my honeymoon...

It was so great to have you back after all these years! I loved your surprise at all of the new things we've built and added over that time, as well as your comfort in knowing that some things -- the beautiful lake, the peacefulness, and the ability to step away from everyday cares -- will always be around. Now,...

We held our family reunion there, 73 people. This is an event we hold every five years. People come from both the USA and Canada. This is the second time we have used this site, the last being 2010. The staff have been most accommodating and the grounds are perfect for games, swimming and boating. The rooms are comfortable and...

I see we had many people from the early August Family Reunion make comments here on TripAdvisor. I just wish there was a place for PROPERTIES to review guests! We have had many reunions here over the years. Many are small and simple and pass right through. Others are loud, boisterous, with lots of family squabbles and interference with other...

Clean rooms with new bathrooms. Nice kitchenette with stove and refrigerator. A/C and nice porch. But BEST was the lake! We swam into the evening and again first thing in the morning. They have canoes and kayaks for use and we paddled around the lake. We will certainly stay again when back in Maine. My kids loved it and took...

My husband and I spent two nights and really enjoyed our stay. The proprietor, Woody, couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating. Our room was immaculately clean and the beds were terrific (we slept extremely well). They have a Krueg coffee maker in the room and supplied the coffee pods. We loved the little beach, swimming out to the dock...

So glad you had a nice time here. We love it when people actually get to use some of our facilities and equipment. I can see from your past reviews that you travel around a great deal. Not sure what brought you to Bridgton, Maine, but I hope you enjoyed everything our Town had to offer, too. Some day, when...

Spent a fantastic weekend here with family. This place is convenient to town and restaurants, and has everything you need! Wonderful staff! We arrived early and had no trouble amusing ourselves in town and on the lake while the room was getting readied.

I was part of the big reunion held at Woody's resort in August 2015. Absolutely wonderful and so accommodating for such a large group. Balconies or porches allow you to watch all the activities out front. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Staff very pleasant. This was our second gathering ....even better that the first (five years ago). Will no doubt...

We held our family reunion at Highland Lake Resort this summer and could not have been happier with how it all went. We were 73 people, ages 3 weeks to 82 years. The location is perfect. Lake front property with a nice beach for the younger children to play on and swim as well as dock, and floating raft for...

Was there for a family reunion (our second time having our event here) and it was fantastic. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the property is beautiful with great lake access. The staff are incredibly friendly. No complaints; I would go back again anytime, and we likely will for the next reunion!

I have stayed here twice now and love it. It is a small place with a beautiful view of the lake. They are very responsive and very clean. It is quiet and a very convenient location. I love that they have a porch outside of your room facing the lake. Very relaxing and I would highly recommend.
