My husband and I stayed here twice--on the way to Canada and on the way back. Everything about it was perfect--owner, beds, location, setting, etc. Highly recommend. And make sure that you eat ALL your meals at the Eagles Nest Restaurant. We had both breakfast and dinner there. Great service and food. Not the least touristy--truly where the locals eat--and...

This was our second time staying at the Colony Motel and it is such a gem. Very well maintained property with large, spotless rooms. The owners obviously work very hard to make sure that their guests have a good stay, and the little mini chocolate bars and bottled waters were a very nice touch. Don't bother with the chain hotels!...

Very gracious hosts and a spotlessly clean room certainly merit the top ranking. When in the Bangor area we'll not bother with the chain motels again. I have already recommended to a brother of mine and his family for a stay. PS Don't tell too many people or all the rooms may be taken when we're looking again. A. Kennedy...

Drive very carrefully if you dont want to miss the entrance. We slept in this big (3 beds, 2 rooms) suite without getting disturb by the road. The room was very clean and big. The owners couldnt be nicer. I would comeback without any problems in my next trip across Maine

After a long day of travel, we were so thankful to have had this place recommended by a local. Went out of their way to make us feel like we were home. Clean, spacious rooms. Quiet comfortable night was appreciated.

We stayed at the Colony Motel again on our way to Prince Edward Island. There isn't anything Lynn the owner has overlooked for a visitors comfort. Several years ago we found this quite spot and our dog (which we don't have anymore) was welcome too. The Colony Motel "for sleepy people" is a winner!

This place is super cute and very clean! By far the best road-side motel we hit on a two week road trip out east. Each room has a little theme with homey decorations (the owner gave us the honeymoon suite!). We didn't use the kitchen but it was spotless. Nice extra touches like a coffee tray complete with little hershey...

My sister and I were indeed the "sleepy people wanted" when we pulled in to this place while on a road trip. They were friendly and helpful, and we ended up with a room with a real kitchen - and not expensive, either. Amazing. We were so grateful.

Stopping on a road trip. Hard to find independent motels this well run--very clean and comfortable, and the owner is on site, friendly, and helpful. Worth a few extra pennies over any chain.
