I stayed at the Tugboat with a group of artists for a workshop I was teaching. The staff was incredibly accommodating, and I truly felt like they treated us like family! On a typical foggy, misty Maine morning, our outdoor painting plans were shelved. The staff at the Tugboat assured our day was not a loss and helped us to... More

We were both very pleased with our recent, first time stay at this hotel. It's not the only hotel on the harbor, but a real tugboat is part of the main structure housing some rooms and the restaurant, so it's quite unique. Our harbor view room wasn't big but it had two king sized beds and a comfortable and clean... More

Although this Inn could use some upgrades, it is a nice place to stay near the harbor and shops. The staff at the front desk were very helpful and understanding as we had constant requests for toilet paper, soap, dishwashing liquid (we had a suite), paper towels (for kitchen area). We had to wash our own dishes but they did... More

Thank you very much for your review. Please accept our apologies for the inconsistent housekeepng service. We do expect our staff to leave adequate supplies for our guests, to make sure that floors are clean, and to make sure that all aspects of the room are taken care of. We are very sorry that we did not meet your expectations... More

I recently enjoyed at overnight stay at the Tugboat Inn with a group of friends. We had two rooms, and they were roomy, clean, and comfortable. The room was stuffy when we first arrived, but we found the air conditioning unit easy to adjust, and we were cool in minutes. We enjoyed a casual dinner in the adjoining restaurant. The... More

Honestly, this was our second choice but was a great place to stay. The room was a bit dated and pricey in light of that, but very clean and the location couldn't be better. Bed was comfortable. The view from our deck was beautiful. My only complaint was that the air conditioner didn't cool the room enough for me, but... More

Great location. Right on water. We had a deck facing harbor. Easy walk to stores and restaurants . We were a large group and they were able to accommodate us all. Our room was ok, small bathrooms . Loved having a deck so we were able to watch sunrise in morning.

Our maids were great and really cared. Everything worked great, breakfast was fine, and the view from our corner was the best of all. We will definitely go back next September. Parking was easy and free, and everything is walkable.

And we did go back this summer and loved it even more. Now they have the breakfast and restaurant area inside the actual TUGBOAT "building". My family loved the food and the service as always, corteous and kind. The room was even better this year as they put us facing the harbour and the rate was lower than expected. Rooms... More

We had room 500. Paid a lot of money for 4 days, the shower is small the air conditioner did not cool the rooms. There was mold in the shower. Love Boothbay but the Tugboat Inn needs a lot of help. Breakfast was not worth getting up for.

Thank you very much for your review. We apologize that the suite was not in tip top condition during your stay. Customer satisfaction is very important to us and we want to make sure we address any problems that are brought to our attention. We try very hard to make sure our rooms and food are meeting our guests' expectations... More

While getting a bit dated and worn. Do not get me wrong, very clean and functional. Very good staff. Ideal location, Good complimentary breakfast. Come up every year after labor day. Favorite spot. Time to upgrade rooms a bit. Clean not worn but need refreshing. Good mattress, clean bath clean carpeting etc. Will go again next year!
