We found this place by surprise. Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff. We had a beautiful rv spot and close enough to walk to interesting sightseeing location. Would definitely return if we are in the area.

Tent site with water and 20 amps. Nicely shaded, wide, private sites. Clean rest rooms and shower. Clean, easily accessible laundry. Close to bass harbor lighthouse and wonderful restaurants in southwest harbor.

We loved the place. Highly recommended it. Close to everything but far enough away to be quite. Campground was nice. A lot of good people there. Shower house was nice. Close to the shore line if you wanted to walk there. Light house quarter mile from campground. Would definitely go back.

Stayed at Bass Harbor 10 days in a 35ft motor home. Nice site with shade and picnic table. Nice facilities including laundry, bathrooms, pool. Would definitely stay here again. Close enough to Acadia to get there easily but not in the midst of all the people.

Hoping for a last minute spot on a busy August weekend, Bass Harbor was able to find us a spot. Located on the "quiet side of the island" on Mount Desert Island near Acadia National Park, this campground has lots of spots for tents and small campers. the spots are close together in some places, but we had nice bands...

Sites are very close together so we heard everything - pretty rocky - two couples with one site - ran us over $50 which was twice as much as nicer places we had stayed. Only stayed cause they were the last place that had a place. We are tent campers.

We decided on a Tuesday to drive up to Acadia for a long weekend that Friday. After attempts for a tent site at Seawall and a couple other campgrounds, I called Bass Harbor Campground and they had a site available. The staff is very friendly and the campground has a great location - right down the road from the Wonderland...

Really LOVED our two days of camping at the Bass Harbor Campground. We were hoping to find a quiet campsite with all the amenities with few screaming children and Bass Harbor was perfect! We tent camped and really enjoyed our site (125). It was close enough to a nearby spigot for general water necessities and a quick walk to the...

My fiance and I stayed here in May 2015 and were blown away at how incredible this campground was. Right from the start we felt so comfortable here. Al, who runs the campground and I enjoyed a nice conversation the 2nd morning we were there (we stayed 2 or 3 nights) and I felt like I was talking to a...

We have spent the last 6 summers vacationing at BHCG. We have tried both the cabins and tent camping. While I prefer the cabins (personal preference), every time we visit we are greeted by friendly staff and the campground is clean and quiet. What more could you want from a campground? The bathhouse can get busy during the morning "rush"...
