On the shore of the Firth of Forth, Queensferry is situated ten miles to the north of Edinburgh. So the Premier Inn Hotel Edinburgh (South Queensferry) is the ideal base for venturing into Scotland's first city, or for exploring the majestic landscape of the Lothians. Queensferry has some puzzling traditions, like the procession of the Burry Man and the annual dip in the Firth of Forth. But there are plenty of other things to do, such as a visit to the Georgian splendour of Hopetoun House or Dundas Castle. There are lots of business venues and good transport links. Once you're done for the day, come back to great food at our Brewers Fayre restaurant and a lovely comfy bed.

The Premier Inn Edinburgh (South Queensferry) hotel garners mixed reviews for service, with some guests praising the attentive staff, while others encounter rudeness. Its location earns commendations for convenience and accessibility to attractions and transport. While rooms are generally seen as tidy, calls for refurbishment are common, citing a tired atmosphere and dated decor.
Amenities, including the comfortable beds, are appreciated, but some guests feel that the hotel offers limited services. Finally, opinions on value are split, with several travelers feeling that the cost does not match their experience.

Great base for traveling in/out of Edinburgh, bus stop just across the road & the 43 takes you straight into Princess St in about 1/2 hour for £3. The room was clean, no noise & staff were friendly/helpful, we didn't book breakfast but getting it wasn't a problem at the Beefeater joined on.

Following a busy day and long flight arrived at Premier Inn at around 19:30 was well greeted and allocated a ground floor room in the new extension. Room was spotlessly clean and comfortable.
A quick wash and then off for dinner in the adjoining Brewers Fayre but unfortunately due to a “gas failure “ my wife and I were declined a table with no alternative given and ended up walking across the car park to get some sandwiches from the petrol station!
We returned to the Brewers Fayre for a drink some 15 minutes later and noted food being served, it appeared that the gas problem had not been fixed but a restricted alternative menu was now available 😡
Returning to our room for a good nights sleep didn’t go well because from around 05:00 there was the continuous thumping of feet from the room above us. Yes, children do often get up early but in a brand new extension was no thought given to some reasonable sound proofing 😡
Looking forward to a good breakfast was also a bit of a letdown, food was good but the coffee (available only in thermos jugs) was like dish water and so thin you could see the bottom of the cup through it! On a positive note I was informed that I could have cup of fresh machine coffee but that was an additional cost £1:90, yet again 😡

My husband and I have been going to this hotel many times over last few years it is one of our favourites given the location and views over the forth and an adjoining restaurant which means we can have a drink with our meal and not have to worry bout driving. The hotel itself is fab and the staff are lovely and helpful. My only downside the last couple of times we v stayed there is the restaurant which is not the same. It used to be friendly and welcoming and helpful and I have enjoyed so many meals there but now any request is too much. I have a bad back and find sitting in those wooden captains chairs sore and uncomfy which ruin my experience of eating out. Half the restaurant has high backed cushioned comfy chairs but I'm stumped as how u actually get to sit on one of em ! When we ask we are told no and shoved up the back in the conservatory with a take it or leave it attitude, we have tried to book a certain table to be told yes at time by restaurant and when we arrive we are told sorry don't know what's happen ed but we have given table away to someone else you 'll have to sit guess where ...yep u know. That's 4 meals wasted where we just ate quick and went with our evening wasted instead of sitting relaxed happy and enjoying the experience. Something the staff do not understand or want to. We even had to argue for a 4 place table for breakfast instead of 2 place as my hubby well over 6 foot n big guy n we don't like being quashed. Stuck to our guns but felt agitated and unwelcome so lovely brekkie eh. Might I add on all occasions there was bigger tables and there was empty tables with comfy seats. I think next time which is 3 weeks away we will forego a drink and stick to cola n find a friendlier restaurant that actually cares if we had a nice time. Like I said used to be nicer and nothing to do with corona as happened also before it too. They would go along way by actually asking the customer if they had a preference of where to sit and by honouring their bookings.

As always with the Premier Inns I have visited, I was impressed with the cleanliness of the room and bathroom, size of the room and the comfort of the bed. The TV is a good size and there are the standard tea and coffee facilities, though obviously you have the attached Brewers Fayre and just a couple of minutes away, a McDonald's and a BP Station with M&S Food if you need other options!
This was my first stay at Edinburgh South Queensferry and I will definitely stay there again, as it's not too far a drive into the city of Edinburgh, (about 20 mins), and has a bus stop right outside that takes you right into the heart of the city, which was a great way to see the surrounding areas and just take in the views.
Special mention must go to the staff at the hotel, who were absolutely fantastic, warm and welcoming and who made me feel absolutely at home, full of good conversation and recommendations...
Sandra was my first introduction when I initially arrived and was an absolute delight; wonderfully easy to talk with and full of information about the area and things to see and do in Edinburgh. Sandra made me feel incredibly welcome and comfortable and put me at ease, with this being my first solo trip anywhere in over 20 years.
Vicky I met during the night shifts and again, she was an absolute pleasure to talk with; very chatty and amusing and again, full of local knowledge.
Jen I met on my final day and again, she was a pleasure to talk with and again was full of recommendations of things to do, places to eat and how to get there. She suggested a bus ride into the city instead of driving and I was glad I went with her suggestion as it made for a wonderfully relaxing final day of my trip.
These three staff are an absolute credit to the hotel and Premier Inn as a whole.
I will definitely stay there again for my next visit, as despite being next to a nearby McDonald's and petrol station, it was a quiet, relaxed area and a good base location from which to explore Edinburgh and surrounding areas.

Enjoyed our stay. All spotless, staff wearing masks & check in & out seamless. Hand sanitiser everywhere & signs asking you to wear a mask and use sanitiser.
There is a mini m&s food nearby & a mcDonalds.
The brewers fayre onsite is good too where we felt safe with table service & distancing.
Also has a 3rd floor viewing area of the 3 bridges over the forth.

This was the most horrendous stay I could ever possibly imagine. We were dying to get home and I wanted to forfeit the night and our Edinburgh Zoo tickets just to get out of this hotel. Our room was so hot and stuffy, there was no air con which is no surprise in many Scottish hotels, but the fact they didn't even have fans to offer the guests was inexcusable. I have 2 children and even to prioritise and let families have the fans would be perfectly acceptable. Our room for both nights stayed at 27.5C and didn't get any lower (a seperate photo of proof has been posted) Each morning after a very uncomfortable sleep, we woke in a soggy mess feeling lathargic and discusting.Twice a day I would enquire if there were any fans available and each time got completely rejected.
Another word of advice which was all new to me. Premier Inn has a rule that if you stay more than one night you need to specially request house keeping, it doesn't just happen automatically like regular hotels I've stayed in since Covid. After a day out, we got home to a room not cleaned with our pizza boxes and bins overflowing. I went to ask why our room was not made and they explained I didn't request housekeeping and there was nothing they could do now but to remember for next time?!
Never ever will I stay in this poor excuse for a hotel when I used to be Premier Inn's biggest fan. Completely vile, dirty, stuffy and the biggest waste of money.

Whilst travelling home from a week on the Isle of Skye, I decided to have a n overnight stay in or around South Queensferry with a view to photographing the Forth Rail Bridge. The Premier Inn, South Queensferry is ideally located within a Services Area around 5 minutes away.
Had no issues checking in, only a small problem with booking a suitable time for an evening meal, but this was due to Covid restrictions, which was totally understandable.
The Reception staff were friendly and extremely helpful. My room was spotless and very comfortable indeed, allowing a quiet night's rest. Breakfast was served in the Brewer's Fayre, connected to the hotel. Order taken at your table and food cooked to order. Service was friendly.
I would recommend this hotel, for an overnight / short stay with a view to spending time in the area.

+1
We stayed in the hotel for 5 nights and our room was 118 also it was alright to start with but there was a rule saying on day three they come in and clean the room anyway on day three no one cleaned our room there was bits on the floor the rubbish by the bin was piling up and no fresh towels or anything. The bed was springy and at night me and my dad went outside to take photos of the hotel sign light up but it wasn’t which dissopointed me and my dad. But still good hotel and there was friendly staff and a vending machine with snacks in.😊🍗

Was anxious about staying with viruses on the rise again but couldn't have felt more relaxed after arriving. Plenty of measures in place for distancing and sanitizing without it being an inconvenience. Room was immaculate, windows open for ventilation, very peaceful, comfy beds and lovely staff who couldn't be more helpful. Parking available right at the door, restaurant in the building, mcdonalds literally 1 min walk away if needing a quick bite (or in my case emergency ice-cream for a 4yr old cos mummy forgot) and loads of family activities to do all within a short drive. Would recommend Edinburgh zoo, cramond beach(sandy), sealife centre and North queensferry all within 15mins by car.Handy tesco 5 mins away and the view at queensferry Dock is amazing. Can't recommend this Premier Inn enough. Will be returning very soon as so much more to explore.

We stayed here for 5 nights. The location is convenient for getting on and off the local road networks to go visiting locally or passing through.
We were always able to get a parking spot.
The staff were pleasant, friendly and professional, we had a room on the second at the end of the hotel overlooking the bridge, it was quiet and I would recommend.
We requested our room to be cleaned and changed in the middle of our stay and the lovely young lad on duty did it for us. Teas and milk were available from reception anytime you asked.
Locally you can walk into Queensferry and there are a choice of restaurants. We ate at Scott’s and the Railway both superb meals. At the side of the co-op there is the start of an easy walk along the old railway track although there is quiet slot of steps to get down near the front.
There is a regular bus in and out of Edinburgh from opposite the hotel.

Don't know about people being available but the parking area when I was there was litterally over-flowing, cars parked wherever they could squeeze in, whether it was a designated parking bay or not. I'd say you'd be able to park, but not necessarily in a official bay.
Halbeath is in Fife I thinnk. I don't know the answer but as I think buses cross the old forth bridge and the hotel is just around the corner of the slip road, it probably passes close by. Lists of stops are usually available online.
Guide dogs only I believe
I believe it’s called Queens Crossing Brewers Fayre. Hope this helps.
