We stayed in a cottage that had delightful furniture and ambiance. Needed a stool; however, to get on the bed and there was not one. It would have been nice if we had ice. It must have been a while since the room was used as the artificial coffee creamer was clambered and lumpy. no service while we were there.

Property is pretty, but is in need of some TLC. Saw one of the groundskeepers drive back and forth on the property, doing apparently nothing, but joyriding in his black pick up truck. Perhaps put a general admission fee in place in order to fund for more upkeep and get a better supervisor to make sure that work is actually... More

I frequent Hemingbough regularly and everytime I am a little more and more amazed. The space is very beautiful and it is so well artfully pieced together. I am able to take many beautiful photographs here of the coliseum style open arena amphitheater, the gazebo, the fountain, the garden maze, and even the peacocks. Hemingbough is truly an inspirational place... More

I went with a group of 18 for 4 days and we had a wonderful time. It is off the road away from everything so it's very quiet but it's close to the town where there are great restaurants. The grounds are beautiful! Lots of room to roam. The staff was so friendly and their breakfast was wonderful. Biscuits and... More

In a previous comment, the owner mentioned updates had already been made summer 2015. If there were any, it was a simple coat of paint, nothing has been remodeled. I visited during a wedding a few weeks ago and was quite disappointed in the facility. It was a smaller ceremony, and the bride was told there was an electric plug... More

My sister visit this facility to make it her destination for her wedding..she agreed to have her wedding at this facility but after walking the grounds the week after we had some concerns, so she address her concerns to the owner Arlin Dease, and he flat out told her this is not a wedding facility but a Christian facility and... My daughters and I stayed here before a week long stay in New Orleans, it was the best part of our trip. The grounds are wonderful. There is wild life, animals and even fishing if you are a pet person. The views are beautiful. Please stay if you want a relaxing wonderful experience.

I have had the great fortune of finding one of Louisiana's great Bed & Breakfast Inns.... Hemingbough. Nestled on a magnificent piece of property in St. Francisville, Hemingbough is an incredible find for anyone looking for a place of rest and tranquility, solitude and magic. Yep.... this place is "magical." Majestic peacocks freely roam the property, adding more allure to... More

We booked this for a girl's weekend & stayed in room 6. The entryway was nice, but the rooms are filthy & in dire need of repair. There were dead bugs on the worn & stained carpet flooring, the peel & stick tile in the bathroom was coming loose & the door jam was moldy, the room desperately needs a... More

We did not stay here at the lovely B & B, but you can walk the grounds and it's like you're in another world. Fountains, pools, gardens, statuary, a pavilion overlooking a lake for music events, and various buildings along a winding path with Spanish moss and flowering plants. Great place for an event and no doubt a wonderful southern... More
