My husband and I spend three nights here recently. We loved it. Very cute cottage! Clean and perfectly situated. We loved sitting on the front porch and listening to the owls one night, Very close to Avery Island and Rip Van Winkle Gardens. Well furnished and nicely decorated. It had everything that we needed. Thr grounds were lovely - leading...

Quaint, comfortable and located on a beautiful stretch of the Bayou Teche. Comfortable and good space for two. We enjoyed waking up to the sound of birds and having enjoying breakfast on the spacious lawn with a view of the Bayou. Good amenities and wonderful hospitality from the host Patrice. Highly recommended.

I believe Nikki had The Bayou Teche guest Cottage mixed up with The Teche Hotel! My stay could not have been more perfect. Beautiful property right on Bayou Teche. Patrice could not have been more helpful and accommodating. Thank you Patrice! Great location. Adorable cottage with a small kitchenette. Bright, cheerful and very CLEAN. I will definitely stay here again...

Absolutely appalling!!!! The whole room was dusty and dirty... The lady owner is ignorant and told me to drop my dog home (he was sitting in the car) home before I rent the room. I had no intentions of bringing my dog in the room. I had picked him up from the dog grooming place, since the motel was not...

This little cottage is extremely comfortable and well furnished. The setting is in a small town, but the trees, large grounds and bayou make it seem you are far out in the countryside. the evening is peaceful and quiet. Wish we had a slow rain while there to enjoy the sound of the metal roof. It is also very convenient...

The Bayou Teche Cottage is situated right off of Main Street, but you would never know because it is so quiet and serene. It is within walking distance to downtown where you can tour the Shadows on the Teche, visit the museum, and dine at restaurants, and much more. Avery Island and Jefferson Island are a short drive away. The...

We really enjoyed our stay in this rustic cabin! Our trip to New Iberia was some nine months in the planning, and Patrice ( who manages the cabin bookings ) patiently answered all my queries via email and also sent me through some great articles relating to New Iberia and James Lee Burke. The cabin's setting at the rear of...

Stayed here two nights to break the journey to New Orleans. Place was clean and had good quality accesories, but the 'cottage' needs some work, like painting doors, fixing taps etc. The 'cottage' is very tight for two people. The garden area at the back is very peaceful, don't forget the bug spray! The breakfast was as described, good quality...

Prior to spending a few days at this guest cottage, I’d always assumed New Iberia could not be as breathtakingly beautiful as it’s described in James Lee Burke’s novels. Turns out it can. There’s really nothing like sitting out on a wooden front porch in Louisiana, listening to rain on the tin roof overhead, and watching a rainbow appear and...

Cottage and grounds overlooking the bayou is fantastic. Breakfast provisions are ample, bedding can sleep 4, and the grounds are covered in wonderful large trees (live oaks) providing a great ambience and shady coverage of the property. You can walk into east main in 10 mins or so, and Patrice does well in giving an overview if the property and...
