The hotel was clean and comfortable. We stayed two nights before our cruise from Port of New Orleans. We parked our car on the upper floor of the parking garage. We took a 'Lift" car to and from the port. Lift cost less than $20 one way. Parking at port was $140. Numerous restaurants near the hotel. Although, we ate dinner in the hotel and it was very good. I recommend the red beans and rice. The room was comfortable and good bed.
My wife and I stayed here before our cruise out of Port of New Orleans. The hotel allowed us to cruise park for free. We took a 'Lift" car to the port from the hotel for less than $20. Return 'Lift" trip was also less than $20. Port Cruise Parking is about $140. Hotel cost was considerably less than the Port area hotels. Thus we saved about $150. Hotel food was excellent. I recommend the red beans and rice.
This is definitely going to be our place to stay when we come back to New Orleans! We stayed four nights here and we loved it. When we first pulled up, I was a little concerned with the set-up, because I didn’t realize that the hotel was not like most Comfort Inns we have stayed at. The parking structure, the lobby, the whole thing worried me about parking our car etc. Well the super friendly check in lady, (I wish I had gotten her name) helped with all of our concerns. She was so helpful in getting us into our room and into the parking structure and made it so easy. Our room was in the tower and it was a huge suite. We were able to use our Choice points for this stay and it was well worth it. We had a huge living room, couch, table and chairs, bar, refrigerator, microwave, desk, and king bedroom suite with Jacuzzi tub. The bathroom was very large with a large shower stall and plenty of room to move around. Everything was clean and comfortable and there was even a nice laundry area for guests on our floor too. The Parking structure was easy to park in and parking was right at the door by the elevators. It was a nice experience that everything always smelled clean and fresh even when coming in from the parking garage. Such a relaxing room and comfortable stay. The Breakfast was decent. It consisted of bacon, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, grits, and waffles. The only down side was that there were not enough seats for the size of the hotel. We ended up taking our food back to our room, which for us was fine, because we had a table there, but for others it may not be that convenient. All of the staff that we encountered were super friendly and they asked how were enjoying our stay and if we needed anything. Even one of the maintenance workers coming in from outside who happened to be in the elevator with me asked about our stay. We really liked the location of this hotel. We weren’t too far out of New Orleans, convenient to the highway, food, shopping and restaurants if we needed them. We have friends that live in Metairie so this was convenient to there as well. I would definitely recommend this hotel to stay at when in the New Orleans area.…
I travel often for business and this CHOICE hotel, for the price, is the best one I've stayed at in a while. Brittany, Ms Pam are so friendly and had a great breakfast, bacon, eggs, biscuits, grits, much more, they do ot right and its free! Front desk very friendly and helpful, the rooms up to date. Bed is very comfortable, plenty of fluffy pillows,TV is Large, room is very clean. If you come to Metarie this CHOICE hotel in Metairie is the best choice.
Second time staying at the property and this visit was nowhere near as good. Front Desk seemed unconcerned the room had hair everywhere upon check-in. Had to complain two different times for housekeeping to actually go up and clean it. and even after they cleaned it there was still hair from the previous guest. Hotel sent me a generic apology that didn't even have to be typed just click and send. I could not get on the internet and Front Desk did not help. I go connected to the Fairfield by Marriott internet since I am a member with them as well. Although I did like to room I booked I wont be back since the service has declined. Ill stay with Marriott.
