Totally sweet guest house. Relaxing and accommodating. Provided bikes, beers, porch swing, great food recommendations and walking access to lots of restful and restorative serenity at the lakefront. Had two rooms, one didn't have a shower which was the ONLY thing that we wished was different.

A charming guest house next to lake. This was my second stay Marvilla Guest House. Ideally located in Old Mandeville close to many outdoor activities and restaurants. Michael the owner was amazing and made me feel right at home. Thank you Michael until next time.

We returned to Marvilla and brought family members with us this time. All the wonderful things that we experienced last year, but also had the opportunity to use their loaner bicycles for cycling the Tammany Trace. Was impressed that they had bikes and that they served our purpose for a casual ride. We stayed in rooms 2 and 3. Room...

Visited here for a night with my wife. Cool spot with great location. Next to restaurants, bars, and the lakefront. Bed was nice and comfortable too. It is also located on a side street so it was nice and quiet at night.

We stayed here on our way home from Destin. Wanted to tour New Orleans but didn't want to stay near all the hustle and bustle. This place was awesome! Small simple comfortable and quiet. Michael is a nice guy to sit and visit with. You can sit on the porch and relax or walk a couple blocks to the the...

Marvilla is great place to stay as a destination or as a base while exploring New Orleans. The guest house is located about 2 blocks from Lake Ponchartrain. From there you can kick back, stroll the lake front park, talk with the locales or just enjoy the view. If you enjoy running, biking or walking Marvilla guest house is good...

We loved Mandeville - wish we'd spent more time there than New Orleans. Marvilla's location is perfect, and without knowing porch-sitting is my favorite thing, Michael booked us in the room with its own back porch. I'd stay again!

I enjoyed my two nights here. I could walk a block to the lakefront for sunrise and sunset. There are a variety of restaurants very close by, with good offerings. The causeway to New Orleans is near. Marvilla is pretty inside and out, with pleasant owners who are available to help but otherwise do not intrude.

This is a small three room guest house, The owner I believe lives on the premises in another wing. The rooms open to a nice porch, It is set in a tropical courtyard and only a block from the lakefront that is very nice to walk around. The rooms are quaint, nothing too dramatic but very comfortable.
