If one travels to Nova Scotio, a stay at Trout Point Lodge is not to be missed. We were tyhere for 3 days and thoroughly enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. The food was excellent and focused primarily on fish and our room had a great view od the river. I would go there again.

After touring for 2 wks in the Maritimes my wife and I needed to slowdown for a few days and selected Trout Point. A magnificent setting in a remote location but with all the amenities. Excellent service, attractive, clean large room, creative kitchen. Pleasant quiet water kayaking and fly fishing available however the equipment was not good. Consider it a... More

My husband and I recently spent one night at Trout Point Lodge in Nova Scotia. We were in NS for four days....for a quick meeting in Halifax......then three days to discover this beautiful province! We had planned to spend two nights in Lunenburg....but realized that Trout Point Lodge was just two hours away and decided to spend our last night... More

This is a completely authentic place--with an amzing tranquil setting and a beautiful log building furnished in a tasteful rustic style--with no loss of comfort (unless you like the TV). We enjoyed every activty we could, but most special was just relaxing. The massage was great too. We were treated royally, including dining by the fire up in the Great... More

I found this place by chance through the Nova Scotia tourism guide, and am glad we did. The weather was rainy the whole time we were there, but the friendly staff, crackling fireplaces, and charming interiors saved us--along with the fantastic food. We were treated to a different, surprising meal each night by people who obviously care a lot about... More

After a couple days of stressful business meetings in Halifax, we decided to venture south to this magnificent lodge. It's a little piece of heaven! We got to truly relax and enjoy the stunning scenery and grounds. This was our first visit to a Relais & Chateaux, and if they are all like this, we're hooked! Had the best soups... More

Our family has been to a number of wildlife retreats and vacation spots. This is the best. It could not have been better. It was tranquil, but had a variety of activities we have experienced no where else. Star-gazing led by a very knowledgeable guide. Hikes in the woods where we learned about local plants that are actually used in... More

We especially wanted to stop at this beautiful wilderness lodge after research on the web, but it did not quite fit our schedule. Fortunately, the rainy days of early June caused us to skip going north, we called, and they had a room available. Though you feel like you are headed to the middle of nowhere, once you come around... More

The web site made this place seem fantastic and it truly was. We were warmly greeted and treated to a glass of wine on arrival, and given a quick tour of the lodge and facilities. The place is woodsy, rustic but full of character and charm. Our car keys were taken and the car parked for us, and our luggage... More

The whole family loved Trout Point--2 teens, my wife, and I. There was concern before we arrived about the no TV situation--but between the kayaks, swimming, hiking, etc. , no one lacked for things to do. As our last stop in Nuevelle Ecosse, we came away reallz impressed with the food--amazing cooking with everzthing done in house.
