We stayed at the Fairfield Inn off of I-10 in Lafayette. I would not recommend staying at this motel. The room and bathroom were not up to the Marriott Corporation standard. The lamp bases are rusting; the carpet was dirty; the bathroom was tidy but not well cleaned. When we checked in and out we were advised that we would not be able to use our discount "because of the hurricane". I discussed this issue with the front desk manager - who was not wearing a face mask - and she was quite clear that we would not be able to use our discount. We were not informed prior to our arrival that the discount would not be available. We were charged $100.08 for a room that barely meet the cost of a Motel 6 at $70. We will never stay at another Fairfield Inn in Louisiana. Very disappointed in the service that we received. Please note that only 1-2 staff were wearing face masks - despite the fact that the entrance to the motel stated "Face Masks Required"…
I would not recommend staying at this hotel. Although the front desk staff were very nice, not one of the housekeeping staff I observed (4) were wearing masks. They were all roaming the halls in the morning cleaning rooms without masks on. I found the side door propped open as well. If safety is your priority, this is not the place to stay!
We enjoyed our overnight stay at this hotel during our 2-month Road Trip from Florida to Out West and back to Florida. Tangie was very helpful when we made our reservation a couple of hours before we arrived. We loved our excellent bed – and had a good night’s sleep! Everything was clean and the room was quiet. The Internet worked perfectly, the TV was great and parking was very convenient. We would definitely stay here again!
This hotel was convenient to the freeway, so we decided to stay here. We always stay in Marriott Hotels, & I can honestly say that this was the worst hotel we’ve ever stayed in. After we checked in there were 4 loud teenagers drinking by the side door. We entered our room, & the smell was overwhelming. We turned the heat on, & it became worse. We asked to be moved to another room, & the smell was still noticeable. The bathroom was dirty. The carpet in the elevator was filthy. The front desk staff was friendly, & Mary, who served breakfast was friendly & very sweet.
Overall it was a good stay. We would stay there again. Staff from when we arrived until we departed was very customer oriented. Welcomed when we arrived and thanked for our stay when we departed. Facility is a little older and could use some updating, but it is maintained and our room was clean and neat. No issues during our stay.
