This is a fabulous winter destination for camping and bird watching. We enjoyed watching the alligators and going fishing off the many docks available inside the state park. We stayed in this park from January through March and were able to experience Mardi Gras on a very personal level. The park hosts its own Mardi Gras parade and a lot...

We spent one night at this State Park campground. Arrived without any reservations. I would of left immediately if there was another place to camp locally. They charged $28 for a flooded campsite. The bathhouse was filthy, old and in desperate need of repair. Mosquito's the size of small kittens came out to greet us. Never again

It's a great place to have a quiet picnic with friends or family. It's a calming place to sit and people watch or tie up your hammock. Great playground equipment and walking trail for kids. We saw groups of kids just rolling down the hills and playing badminton. There are bikes for rent nearby as well. The ducks are also...

My family went kayaking on Lake Fausse. My goodness it's just beautiful. We are from south Louisiana and are accustomed to seeing swamp scenes but these trees were stunning. It is a very large area so you kinda pick a place to launch and spend all day!

We visited this park today. After rain the trails were covered with pools of water in many places and we couldn't do a trail walk at all. That is to be expected after rain in a swampy area. BUT the ramp to the visitor center was only partly covered in a non-slip material, and my husband slipped on the part...

We went the weekend before Father's day. I wish it were a little cooler, but that's Louisiana summers for you. Our cabin was great...very clean and had everything we needed. We chose a cabin on the end, so we werent bothered by anyone, but none of our neighbors were loud or obnoxious anyway. Plenty of hiking trails and the kids...

This place is amazing. Its very pretty. Only two dollars to get in. You can fish from a pavillion that has many tables on it.Just gotta watch out for alligators and snakes. Also kid friendly. Has a playground and a splash pad for all ages. Park rangers drive around all day and you can see them in trucks.

We love Lake Fausse Point and have returned many times. There is a splash pad for the kids and also a great playground. All the cabins are on the water and have a screened in back porch. We sit on the pier and catch fish, or rent a canoe and paddle around. Very peaceful.

We recently had a large family reunion at this park. We rented the cabins on the cove and several camper spaces and tent spaces as well as the large conference center where the reunion was held. First of all the cabins are very large and roomy and fully stocked with everything. The screened porch was awesome and we spent a...

This is a nice park except for one aspect, but it is a critical one. The bathhouse for the campground was cold, dirty, and dark. There was no heat on in the bathhouse, and the windows were open .... and it was 35 degrees. Over half the lights were out, and the ones that were one were very dim because...
