Windows are single pane so you can hear every car going past outside and they go outside ALL night. The neighbors alarm kept going off and the walls were so thin that it woke us up. Pillows are actually small cushions, so are not great to sleep on. Reception had no idea or understanding what a crib/cot/babies bed was as we arrived with a 4month old with no facilities for him to sleep in. When I asked what was normally done when guests arrived with a young child, I was given a stunned silence as if to say that it had never come up before today... Beds are very narrow. They are “double” beds, but no wider than 135cm in my opinion. Perhaps smaller. Breakfast was boiled eggs, selection of 3 cereals, toast/bread and sausage patties. The breakfast area had the feeling of a halfway house. Wouldn’t recommend staying here again but a bed is a bed I suppose. …
Booked a two night stay at Red Roof Inn while attending the Saint's game that weekend. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Checking in and out was very easy. My room was clean and and fresh. The room had a nice size refrigerator, microwave oven, iron, ironing board, plenty of towels and soap. I will definitely stay at this hotel again on future visits to New Orleans.
All staff members were very friendly. The problem is with the facility itself. Noisy AC, dirty, stained bed sheet, room layout is awkward, level of cleanliness is below average; smelly pillows. At night, the area feels quite isolated with most facilities closed for eat-in. The breakfast was average (I could see the fruits were kept in the back room but not placed in the buffet area!!). Omelette from powder mix (not tasting real). Reliable and courteous shuttle service. Reliable wifi.
"No I can't get you a pillow because I don't have any access to them. You can get one from housekeeping in the morning" - when I check out. Ha On what planet does that make any sense? This place is a dump.
The rooms look like the pictures online.... except with dirt, pieces missing, and scratches. All of the furniture in our room was pretty damaged for a room that was recently renovated. There was hair in the bed between the sheets before we even laid in it. This leads me to believe they don’t change sheets between each guest if they sheets look “clean”. The hotel had an overall weird smell, aside from our neighbors across the hall smoking weed for two days straight. The neighborhood isn’t great- we didn’t feel confident leaving our car in the parking lot, so we parked it somewhere we could see it through our window to check on it. Not great.
