We stayed overnight to catch an early flight and to keep our vehicle there while we were away. Nothing fancy about the place but was perfect for what we needed. Transportation to the airport wasn't horrible but wasn't the best.
Had an early flight, so stayed here night before. Good bed and quiet room. Airport shuttle that runs regularly and is free, even ver y very early. Airline crews are here so it is a good place to stay.
The Hilton New Orleans Airport has asked me repeatedly, four times so far, to give a review. I called and spoke to someone because I didn't want to leave a written review, yet they persist. So, I'm going to give you the situation and you tell me what review YOU would leave. We checked in around 5. The total was around $25 more than the email confirmation. Meh. No big deal, I didnt say anything. Easy check in, we head upstairs. Every room but for maybe 3 had a blue sticker across the door and the door sill. It said that the room had been sanitized and was ready for guests. When you open the door it breaks the seal. This is important later. We get to our room. The last door on the left. No seal. Well ok, maybe they take it off before the guest comes in. No problem. We go in, its a pretty nice room. It has a coffee area, but hmm. Its not fully stocked- things are missing. Well ok, but I really do want a cup of tea. There's tea, but only 1 cup. Well, there are two of us booked in the room. Meanwhile I'm poking around, open the mini fridge and what do I see? The last persons food still in there. Yummy, they left us a snack. So ryan calls down to the desk. Hey there, there aren't enough cups up here could we get another one brought up? And by the way, there's food in the fridge. Was our room cleaned? And the answer?? No, but you can come down to the lobby and get the cups yourself. We have no housekeeping today. No answer on the cleanliness of the room. So I go down to guest service. Hi, our room wasn't really fully stocked. Can I please get some coffee cups? Sure here you go. Thanks. So, at this point I'm not sure our room was cleaned. Can you change our room please? Ready for lie number 2? Oh you missed the first one? You'll see where it was in a sec.. He says, No we don't have any open rooms.. remember all of those blue tags?? I say ok, do you think we could have someone clean and stock our room. While we are out to dinner? And he says - hold on let me let you talk to the HOUSEKEEPING manager. Shes right here.. oh, you mean the housekeeping people who ARENT here today? That housekeeping?? So, I ask politely if our room could be cleaned and restocked. She says absolutely. Away I go. With my 2 cups. We go to dinner. We.come back. The food is out of the fridge. The room is STILL not restocked. But at least I had my 2 cups! Oh and the $25 extra, was just in case we charged something to the room. #hilton #hiltonhotel #HiltonCleanStay So, what would you say??…
The location is terrible. Unless you have a layover there is no good reason to stay here. The area is depressing without much around. During the pandemic, instead of offering a breakfast too diamond members, you get a choice of two items from the hotel "store". A coffee counts as one. I know it is tough for hotels, but it's also tough on consumers. To cutback on these things where we are the reliable source of income is biting the hand that feeds you. To charge for parking when there is no possible place elsewhere to park is disguising an additional $12 to the cost of a night's stay.
Unfortunately my company books us here . Transportation service is unreliable from the airport . Thus evening 4 calls were made to the front office and stated they are on their way . Liars !! Waited close to 30 minutes Also do not rely on a wake up call if you request one ! You wilL NEVER receive one . Better set your skate on your phone Wish i could stay somewhere else but unable due to company policy
