Quite apart from the friendliness of the staff, the workers are extremely honest. I lost an opal and gold ring on the compound, found by a worker and delivered to reception and held for me. I had already written off the ring as lost. Was pleasantly surprised by the honesty of the young lady who found the ring and hand-delivered to me once I indicated to the reception that I had misplaced the ring.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Excellent service. The room was very comfortable, clean and lots of room. Great ocean view from the patio. Front desk was helpful with information Restaurant service was very good. I enjoyed this hotel
My husband and I were so excited about coming to SVG and staying at Beachcombers Hotel. Virgin Holidays normally choose great hotels for their packages. Sadly this wasn't the case. We left after 3 days. The staff we have to say were great to us but both my husband and I picked up this odd vibe that all was not happy in the "Beachcomber Camp"with them. Many seemed stressed and anxious. When we first arrived there we were shown to our room which was large clean but dark and to be honest a bit dismal. We didn't mind because we didn't intend to spend a lot of time there. The Restaurant Manager Yesim was friendly at first but she seemed more interested in a new rebrand that the restaurant was having. To be honest, we felt we were an inconvenience being there. I say this because I asked a staff member were there other Virgin customers staying and were told no ...its more for business people!!! Breakfast the next morning was OK ish but they we were informed that they didn't have all foods on the menu ie no fruit or eggs. The next day the service was awful. We waited 30 minutes at the table before we were even acknowledged and then had to wait even longer for the food. The order was wrong and we had to ask the surly new chef to correct it. We had not been told what was included on our package...it was in fact a very sparse continental . We decided to settle up the bill we had incurred. We also felt uncomfortable trying to relax around the pool....very small, the whole area is like a goldfish bowl. We felt that we shouldn't of been there ....very odd and unpleasant atmosphere. That evening on our way our for dinner, the Restaurant Manager approached us in a defensive manner saying we had not signed or paid for our drinks of which I informed her that I had just paid the bill ! That evening we decided to leave the hotel the next day. I booked a stay on Youngs Island and the remainder at Paradise Beach which was fantastic. We checked out the next morning and was ignored by Yesim and other family members. A couple of evenings later whilst having dinner at Paradise Beach we were presented with a fruit basket and a resumed offer of a stay back at Beachcombers in the Presidential Suite.... we gave the fruit basket to the staff at Paradise Beach. We had no intention of going back to the hotel. We asked for a refund of which Virgin holidays did very promptly. To put it in a nutshell, Beachcombers had an unpleasant odd atmosphere to us so maybe not the place for package holidays. Virgin you could do far better.…
Just had a wonderful dinner at the restaurant for a group of 8 before we go sailing. The owner showed us a few rooms while we were waiting for dinner & were impressed with the rooms. We will definitely stay here next time we're in St. Vincent. Family owned; everyone was so friendly and provided great service.
We (2 couples) initially booked 2 nights at Beachcombers Hotel so that we could quarantine in an "approved" hotel in advance of a cruise we were taking. Our rooms were very nice, with lots of space and a balcony. We had our breakfasts and dinners in their dining room, which is open and faces the ocean, because the isolation requirements had been lifted. Their staff at the desk and in the restaurant were all extremely friendly and helpful. Donovan, our waiter, was very attentive. Marva was both a hostess and server, with a constant smile on her face. She even brought out some home-made banana bread to share with us. If we go back to St Vincent, we'll certainly stay again at Beachcombers Hotel. Because we had a whole day before our cruise began, we asked their front desk for recommendations on "things to do" on the island. They recommended a Tour Guide named Swazo, and he was GREAT ! He took us up the western side of the island and we stopped a bunch of beautiful and interesting places, including one of the sites where they filmed a lot of the movie "Pirates of the Caribbean".…
We went here for drinks a few days ago and the staff were so friendly and so welcoming that we returned again for drinks and lunch today and it was all absolutely fantastic! Both Marva and Andrew are absolutely amazing - and took care of us so well on both occasions! The drinks were great and the food that we ate at lunch was so fresh and so tasty and without a doubt some of the best we have had when eating out in ST V - and this was our 6th trip here! I will definitely come back here again and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting! Once again a massive thank you to Marva & Andrew for their hospitality and making us feel so very welcome!
We had booked the Beachcomber for 1 night, 5 of us, and were suppose to leave the next day to fly home after 2 weeks in Bequia. Due to circumstances beyond our control we needed to stay another week and decided to stay at the Beachcomber. Even though the genesis of this stay was stressful, we had the most relaxing time with the most amazing staff. Marva and her amazing ginger juice, Donovan and his knowledge of the Grenadines and humor, Andrew with his quick wit, Brandon with his quiet charm and Marianne with her sweetness...they made us feel like family. Every morning we would be greeted and wished good night at the end of the day. Not only are the staff great, but the landscaping is INCREDIBLE! We wandered around in awe of the variety of plants and trees. Hummingbirds, Bananaquit, butterflies...really beautiful. I can't wait to go back!! If you are going to be stuck on St Vincent, get stuck at the Beachcomber. (oh yeah, it is on the beach, they have a pool and rooms are large with refrigerators and a/c.)…
My wife and I had a great time at Beachcombers. The staff were very friendly and fun to be around. We wanted to take them home with us. We had a nice room with a balcony overlooking the Sea. The restaurant had a great selection.
This is my first time actually spending a night at a hotel in SVG other than abroad and it’s safe to say I enjoyed myself with my sweetheart at this hotel on valentines night. I would recommend anyone who want to have a great night or weekend out with friends and family, they should come to Beachcombers hotel. It’s the best I’ve been to so far and I will indeed come again!!
