This is our second visit to this state park/lodge and what a disappointment this visit has been. Only one ice machine was working and it was out of ice because people were filling large coolers. The restaurant closed at 6:30pm on a Saturday night and we were not informed of this upon check in, so after a hot day driving in the sun we had no ice water or supper. Not a good start to a three day stay. The room was fine, your typical state park rooms. They allow smoking on the balconies so being non smokers we weren’t able to enjoy our balcony. Actually I think we were the only non smokers at the lodge, it was really bad, they smoke everywhere, even at the pool, in the pool , I mean everywhere. Not sure we would give this place another chance.

We were traveling in Eastern Kentucky and stayed two nights at Jenny Wiley. It is nice, clean and friendly. Right now, the office and restaurant are undergoing renovations, but they offer room service and carry out to the rooms. The lodge rooms have balconies overlooking Dewey Lake. The rooms are quiet. There is hiking trails all around the area. Cabins are also available. I would like to come back and see Fall colors.

Cannot say enough about the stay here... From the second we walked in, we were greeted by an amazing young lady who could not have been more perfect! She took care of getting our rooms, and the rooms are excellent! Contemporary and comfortable-with a balcony (ours faced the beautiful river). Comfy beds, everything you'd need in a room, and quiet. The walls are a bit thin (could hear people coughing in next room), but no one was loud. Robust Wi-Fi, high shower head with good pressure. Just a beautiful stay in a beautiful place - stay there now!

We visited from Lexington recently for an overnight stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and comfortable, overlooking the lake with a balcony. We listened to live music outside. We had dinner and breakfast there, with excellent service and great menu items. Lots of great hiking trails, and the scenery is beautiful. Lots of activities to get into. We love playing tourist in our own state. Check in and out was a breeze. We will definitely return.
