Hotel room was very nice and had a great shower. Excellent value for the money. Hotel was in a great location. I would rather not have first floor rooms. Could hear every conversation at front desk and woke up to the smell of coffee. The bar scene was not good. Prices of

We stayed at the 1857 for two nights. We absolutely adored our room- so artistic and fun! We also attended a wedding reception in the event space and had a great time! It was a great venue for the small scale wedding of my sister. Highly recommended for a stay!

This is a beautiful hotel with a great bar/lounge area. It does have its quirks like others have mentioned: Stairs getting up to the rooms is a little precarious if you have heavy luggage. The double queen room has an odd shower/bathroom set up just off the sitting room.

We've stayed at the 1852 twice, and both times had a private bathroom. The hotel only has 13 rooms; I can't imagine any of them would not have their own bath. Be sure to have a drink at the bar - great bartenders, a most excellent Old Fashioned, and my wife raved about her martini.

Where do you park when staying at this hotel? Is it difficult to get a parking space?
In our suite the bedroom was separate. There was a sink area. The shower was a large walk in shower to one side and in another separate room was the restroom. It was very nice.

In the room which I had that was not the case. There is a batchtub and a rainfall shower directly in the room. And a toilet as well, in a small room inside the room. No need to go outside. However, I cannot tell whether this is true for all rooms. Maybe best to write them an email, contact info is on their website.

Is there coffee service in the morning?
There are Keurigs in each room, they generally brew a pot of coffee downstairs too. There is also a great bakery and coffee place about a block away.
