We just came back from 10 days holidays. In terms of the hotel - rooms are clean, spacious and having fridge with water it's a nice gesture. However, not to have proper doors in the toilet it's not great. Everyone needs some privacy at some point. Also, we read comments about lack of WiFi in the rooms before we arrived. I thought we would be fine as we don't need to use our phones...but being with child it's slightly different as when she napps in the afternoon or early evening it would be nice to have it. Swimming pools are great but gosh it's a really child oriented hotel 😬 if you don't have a kid don't even consider this place. Staff - our cleaning lady was always very friendly and Arif(?) In the main lobby bar Nightshift bar person - always smiling, friendly and welcoming. Makes a huge difference! Entertainment - kids disco wasn't great, majority songs are in German, lots of kids and smaller kids were at the back so they couldn't see how to follow the dance. Lack of interaction, everyday the same over and over... Night show - fire show by the staff was very boring... Rest of them were amazing! I think that's way I give a 3 stars...for the swimming pool options and slides and shows... Food - omg 😱 we got food poison. First my daughter was sick everywhere then my partner was ill for 4 days. It wasn't just a small bug! Lots of sugar everywhere, lots of sweets. After my daughter was ill I asked if I could get a one banana ( they had lots of them nigh before but covered with chocolate) they said they don't have any...I asked another day and got the same answer and then bananas appeared covered with chocolate. My child is a good eater but she refused to eat anything there...we were only having cucumber and fries. Also, łask of fruit is shocking. You get plenty of apples and tasteless pears and oranges .... Nothing else for the whole duration. If I could give a star for food only it would be 0. Beach - lots of stones, but I mean lots so make sure you do take water shoes. Also, if you have a smal girl with a long hair she would want to get her hair done.... Don't do it in the hote, extremely expensive. We went 10min outside the hotel and get hair done there 3 times cheaper. Also, be aware of the airport as you would not believe the price for the food there....if you can take something with you and don't buy there anything. Would I go back - nope!

This was our first time in Antalya area, weather was good being in end part of May, why do I say about the resort, really good facility on the see front, great food, clean facilities, many swimming pools, and a water park, what els kids need!!! I have 5 and 8 years old kids, they loved every minute of being at Calimera Serra Palace. They are sad to leave and I have to make a promise to bring them back here. The highlight has been the entertainment team for the resort and the fun pack activities and shows they line up throughout the day and late night, kids loved going to the mini disco every night, also to mention the show which was amazing (Jurassic Park) amazing show, enjoyed it thoroughly. One thing which put Turkey 🇹🇷 above all is the people, no organisation could deliver 5* services without the 5* team, I found resort team from reception to kitchen and cleaners to entertainment absolutely fantastic, credit to the management for hiring training and kept the team motivated to deliver the fantastic service. I recommend to all the families to consider coming here once to experience what we had. Thank you to resort team for making our visit so special for our kids.

Overall the facilities are pretty decent and my 4 yr old enjoyed the pools and beach / shows (mini disco). On the first day the food was ok but we soon came to realize that everything tastes the same or of nothing at all and you could see left overs were turned into a different meal the next again day. I had contracted food poisoning whilst there and I'm still suffering now and i met a guy on the bus on the way back to the airport and he was also sick from the same hotel., I do recall eating a burger at the beach bar then noticing it was raw in the middle. Most of the staff were nice but alot of them were young and look like they didn't want to be there. We were in the main building and had a balcony in a corner that got no sun but wasn't a big issue, the cleaners done the room every day but the rooms in general could do with being refreshed. There is a guy at the beach who is trying to trick people into believing you have to pay for the mattresses that go on the sun loungers, he kept asking if we had 10 euro's. I'm giving 3 stars - 1 for pools, 1 for entertainment and 1 for being close to the beach. The hotel dose not run a bus to Antalya which is a shame because there was lots we would like to have seen and done there and it was a bit to far away for a taxi. Personally I would not return due to me being poisoned and a would advise to watch what you eat.

A detailed review to help others: We stayed in this hotel for a week in May 2023, i was hesitant before booking at first after reading some negative reviews but i thought it looked incredible from the photos and was worth a try. My stay at serra palace was the most memorable, we arrived around 3am at the main hotel building, check-in was very smooth, i completed the process from my side and went to eat, early breakfast is available between 12-7 at the ‘sunny restaurant’, which is on the left from the main reception in the main building. We were given a sea view room in the main building on 5th floor, the room was very modern and spacious, the room had a mini fridge filled with drinks and water, nice size shower room with toilet also included was hair dryer, A/C, flatscreen TV, and a nice size balcony, which had the view of the sea but also the hotel and garden area as the hotel grounds are huge. There is no wifi in the room, the curtains are blackout, so it remained dark in the even in early hours, we didn’t need to turn the A/C on as we had the balcony door open, the breeze kept us all cool, we didn't use the TV once as you hardly get time in the room itself because there is a-lot to do around the hotel itself. As I was travelling for an infant, a cot was already placed in the room without even me having to ask for it, which was so convenient. The main building (our bedroom) is a 1 minute walk away from the 2nd lobby area, you need to get to ‘R’ level for the buffet area and access to pools. Walkways and ramps and elevators are available wherever needed so access was never an issue. The Buffet area is huge and so is the seating area, you have the option to sit inside or outside its your choice, in each section of the buffet there is a huge variety of dishes inc desserts however, the dishes can be repetitive on most days. Each section is looked after by a waiter/waitress and they are lovely, so friendly and helpful, some will even remember what drinks you have and bring them to your table. Soft drinks, juices, hot drinks and alcohol was available either help yourself or ask the staff in your section and they will bring you your drinks. A kids restaurant is available although all dishes in kids restaurant are available in the main restaurant too. Breakfast:7-10am Late breakfast: 10-11am Lunch:12.30-14.30pm Dinner:18.30-20.30pm On the right of the restaurant you have the exit which leads you to the spa centre, the double doors will lead you out, just before exit is the towel handout/collection, handout of towels is between 7-11am and hand-in is between 4-7pm, you will receive your towel cards at the time of check-in. This exit will lead you to the pools or beach wherever you fancy. The exit in the left hand side from the restaurant takes you to the outdoor seating area which is connected with the pool bar and then the theatre. Pools are also accessible from here, There are about 5-6 outdoor pools, a water park which opens at 10 or 12 and restarts at 2 and closes at 5pm. A only adults quite pool, a kids club, bars around the pool area. There are alot of loungers so you will always find space. Pools are clean, and there is always the Serra radio to keep you entertained whilst swimming. Ice-cream is available before you enter the pool areas or at the beach entrance however its only available at certain times. Maybe 3-4pm. The beach area is okay you walk through the beach bar, to get to the beach, which is sandy to start with but then its all pebbles which do hurt your feet. So you can only play with sand close to the loungers, there are a few water activities available however we didn't try those, there are camel rides available at a price and someone selling perfumes. The beach has a small kids playground which is a nice addition. There is always something for the kids to do whether its the water park, kids club, mini disco or playgrounds, they are sure to be entertained all day. Evening entertainment is good at the theatre, every night there is something different, i guess it repeats after a week, after the entertainment at the theatre which usually starts at 21.15 and ends around 22.00 you can sit in the pool bar area and enjoy the mini disco till about 23.30. Drinks and alcohol are free and unlimited, but you only get what’s available. Snack is also served at the pool bar and beach bar between 2-4 i think. Although food is repetitive and limited. Shops are available at the hotel, although they are costly compared to shops outside, there is a bazaar 7 minutes walk from the hotel, you literally walk straight from the main building and you will enter the bazaar area, and there is also an ATM machine here. Excursions are available from the hotel or by the company you booked, we travelled with Jet2 but found the excursion they provided where double the price of what we booked through ‘Excursion Mania’ the experience we had on the manavagat boat tour was amazing it was seamless all the way through, and for the price we got so much more compared to paying hotel price! A-la-carte is available for stay above 7 nights, I booked at the Italian restaurant, the food was amazing, they treat you really well, welcome drinks as you enter, the tables are set up, 3-4 course meals, the food was amazing as it was very different to what’s available at the buffet, different dish plus different taste. *On the day of checkout you can use the showers at the spa *if you ask you get, i had to ask if food was available when we arrived for checkin at 3am and was told, others where hungry and waiting and expecting to be told. Once we went to the restaurant a-lot of people followed. *we only got Turkish tea at the bar in the main building *Take euro’s and remember to bargain hard as they RIP you off, something are really not worth the price they quote. *Take a kettle if you need tea in your room *Tiles at the poolside are very slippery, wet shoes can be handy *Take your own inflatables for the pool as the ones at the shop in the hotel are pricey. *water in fridge is the only thing thats refilled, ours wasn't refilled except once but water bottles are available almost everywhere *A-la-carte booking must be made between 9-10am thats the only time they where open, by calling guest services or popping down there which is in lobby 2 *most guests are friendly, odd few are snubby You will enjoy as staff do go above and beyond to make sure you have a lovely staff, there isnt a dull moment at club Serra, always something going on, great vibes all around.
