The room was incredibly large with a very comfortable queen size bed. All of the staff were friendly, helpful, and full of smiles. Every time I saw staff they would not only greet me they would inquire if all was well with my room/stay and if there was anything that I needed. All of the staff gave the same impression... More

We live within a 2 hour drive of Louisville and wanted a "staycation." The Brown Hotel came highly recommended by multiple friends and for good reason. We had a great weekend and was very impressed by how helpful everyone was. And dinner at the English Grille was fantastic!

My wife and I stayed here for a 2 night weekend. This is a grand historic hotel in downtown Louisville. I had stayed here many years ago on business and knew that my wife would love this place. They don't build hotels like this anymore and it is great to see that this place looks just as great as I... More

In addition to being a Historic Hotel, the Brown Hotel is clean, beautiful, with wonderful food, ambiance and an incredible staff. Honestly, I cannot say enough good things about this awesome hotel in downtown Louisville. I stayed on the 11th floor and my room was wonderful. The white bedding was spotless and the bed was super comfy. One thing that... More

We had a single room with a king sized bed. Everything was impeccably clean. I appreciated the Keurig coffee maker because I drink tea and you can clean the dispenser so that my tea didn't taste so much like coffee - not possible with a traditional hotel coffee maker. The hotel has been restored and the lobby area is lovely.... More

Every single thing was awesome! The service staff is impeccable. Food in each of the restaurants is perfect. Do not leave without splitting a Hot Brown, and do not overlook the Lobby Bar! This is an historic downtown hotel. Its history should not be overlooked!

Nice hotel with second story grand lobby. Bar in lobby makes a great location to meet friends and have a few drinks in a relaxing atmosphere. Hotel is at one end of the 4th street entertainment district. A local dish was invented at the Brown....the Hot Brown. An open-faced turkey sandwich with bacon and a delicate Mornay sauce. This historic hotel appears to be a popular after work place for drinks and dinner. Everyone should try a Hot Brown on the menu. They originated here and are quite tasty. The selection of Kentucky bourbon drinks is quite good. Nicely appointed room with good views of the city and not far from the river and many shops.

With a wonderful history, a beautiful lobby, and wonderfully attentive staff, the Brown is truly a treasure. My room was wonderfully well-appointed, with a huge, comfortable chair for reading, a desk set at a window looking over the city, a nigh-palatial bathroom and two very comfortable beds. The staff was an absolute joy to talk to and were very pro-active... More
