We really enjoyed our stay in miradouro da papalva! An amazing place and the most friendly host. Thanks for being such a good source of information. And for making the reservation to go whale spotting (the same day!). Credits also to the whales themselves! Wow! And the lakes....breathtaking! Hope to return, Halima, Nanda & Nadia

My stay at Miradouro Da Papalva is hard to put in words as i felt overwhelmed with the tender Love and care of Helena, Jon and Pam. It is such a beautiful place, with seaviews all around, even from my bed!!, hills and the beautiful mountain of Pico just in the backyard.. Every mornig i woke up with the smell...

Beautifully located guest house. The staff are warm, friendly and always willing to lend you a hand, be it driving you to a place, picking you up from the airport or giving a recommendation for a restaurant or boat trip. The house itself is really pretty, with comfortable rooms, a small but nicely laid out garden and multiple outdoor eating/relaxing...

This guesthouse is really a good place to start from for your exploring of Pico. Rosairinha was so very helpfull that we felled immediately at home. She also booked our whalewatching and mountainclimbing. We had a great stay. We hope to come back one day. We had troubles with the bank and she and her son fixed it for us,...

We've never felt so warmly welcome in a hotel before. John and Pamela are fantastic, they are enthusiastic and really want you to enjoy your stay at the Azores. John's barbecue chicken is great and he can show you the best places of Pico. And after a long day, you can relax in the Jacuzzi. We strongly recommand this place!

this is way more than just a place to stay. From even months before our trip, John was helping find our family roots/geneology, and helping us plan to make the best experience on Pico. John and Pam extend themselves to be completely at their guests' disposal. We were with a large family group (10 people) and John found extra rooms,...

We had doplhins and whales almost everytime we looked at the sea. John and Pamela are great hosts - their hospitality could not be better. John has so many...

We had a great time exploring Pico while staying with John and Pamela. The house is very nice but the people make the difference. John’s local knowledge and other stories are extensive and he’s glad to share them with you. The owners pride themselves in caring for their guests. The rooms are comfortable and pleasant. You can use the large...
