Stay in Bardstown or somewhere else. We expected to spend the evening in this wonderful historic inn but upon check-in, learned that we would be staying across the street in Goddard Hall. The decor was that of possibly late 1980's and our rooms smelled musty and of mold. When we called the front desk we were assured that there was...

As the senior owner, a response to all of the above rests with me. It appears we struck out on all accounts but to apologize is to not take ownership of these failures as noted by the reviewers in the review? So perhaps to say I am sorry you disliked us on all accounts will be accepted. To be accused...

This is the oldest of three buildings on the property, so do expect some creaking as you walk around. We stayed in a room on the 3rd floor, so we did not have anyone above us. The room was very clean and comfortable except the mattress. For both of us it was way too hard. Frequently could hear a train...

Fifty years after our first visit (honeymoon) we return. We find the same ambience, same wonderful food, wonderful atmosphere. What a relaxing stay! If you love antiques, this is your place. Updated amenities will make your stay easy. So why not 5 stars? It lacks amenities a five star Inn has: the owners lack of interaction (at least during our...

We stopped here on our last night exploring the KBT. We stayed at the Graystone and could not have been happier. Our room was huge with a wonderful screened in porch. The grounds were beautiful, the staff friendly, and breakfast tasty. Try the corn meal pancakes.

We stayed at this beautiful inn twice - in July 2015 and July 2016 and both times were wonderful. The service, the food and the location were absolutely perfect. We would visit bourbon distilleries in the morning and then relax by their large peaceful pool in the afternoon. Because this is more of an inn than a hotel, it doesn't...

You might expect a bit less comfort with historical surroundings, but these rooms are as well-appointed as any fine hotel. We stayed across the road in an annex building, and the room was lovely with a large, comfy bathroom. I have to mention that I made an error in booking, and the office persons went out of their way to...

Truly historical inn sits amid a large park area dotted with large trees. The inn is filled with antiques and old pictures, reflecting the owning family's justified pride in keeping it so well. Old Owl Tavern offers excellent food, friendly service, and a nearly endless list of Bourbons. Highly recommended as a base for exploring friendly Kentucky.

In short, we stayed there on March 23, 2017 and was pleasantly surprised by the people in charge and the people running the pub, where we had dinner. The food was very good at the pub and for breakfast, in the Inn. The room was spotless and was a pleasant place to stay after a long day of traveling. I...

Other reviews are mixed, and so is mine. Overall, a fine experience, but I specifically booked in the Greystone Inn for both the queen bed, privacy and temperature control. Overall, everything was clean and well appointed, and a good value, especially as there are very limited options in the area. For the life of me, I can't figure out why...
