I had a good stay at the Jesse Stewart Lodge! The staff was friendly and accomodating. The room was clean although a little aged, but comfortable. The rooms don't have a refrigerator but I requested one and it was brought to my room the following day. There was a $5 a day charge. (I checked - in in the evening)....

Thank you for your wonderful comment and glad you enjoyed your stay with us. I agree that the rooms are a little aged but we are making some changes in the rooms such as new mattresses and flat screen TV's that I hope makes your next stay even more enjoyable. Thank you again for visiting Greenbo Lake State Resort Park....

We were at the lodge for three nights. We were not impressed with the quality of the services or the lodge facility itself. We have stayed in many of the KY, OH, and WVA lodges over the last 25 years, and we expected more from Greenbo on this visit. We have found that the KY lodges are not up to...

I am sorry that your visit to Greenbo Lake was not the experience you wanted and deserved. I agree, the issues you mentioned need attention and there were a couple beyond our control. Regardless, we are working very hard to make needed improvements at the lodge and throughout the park to ensure it remains open for many years to come....

Peace and quiet abound. 3300 acres to explore. Water was so peaceful. Several people fishing. Went to Lodge. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Had lunch while on our visit. Food was excellent along with the service. Prices were very reasonable. What a great afternoon of exploring this area for the first time. Will definitely return.

This review is longer than what I usually write, because I wanted to write a rebuttal to the negative reviews for not only this lodge, but many other KY and IN state park resort lodges. We spent this past weekend at Greenbo Lake State Resort Park (Jesse Stuart Lodge), and had a very nice time. It is true that this...

Thank you very much for all the kind words. I have often said that fancy hotels are nice for staying in town but they certainly don't have our beautiful view. I hope you visit us again soon!

My wife and I stayed here 20 years ago and it was great. We had to book a year in advance just to get a room. Upon our most recent stay we booked 1 day in advance. A LOT had changed in twenty years. The park its self was very well kept and beautiful as we had remembered it. Very...

Be prepared for LOTS of steps! The room was clean, and had a comfortable bed but the room definitely needed updating. The cathedral ceiling would have been nice if it didn’t have pipes across the wall for the sprinkler system. Wifi was available but was not completely reliable. I was given a room with a “good view”, but the view...

The room was spacious and clean except for the balcony which was littered with lots of cigar and pipe ashes. The coffee maker was broke. The lodge which was built in 1971 really hasn't been kept up very well. There are many photos on the walls from James Archambeault and I'm sure they looked good 25 years ago, but now...

My husband and I stayed for two nights in late August after school was back in session. It felt like there weren't many people there, which added to the relaxing atmosphere. We were in a two double bed room on the third floor with a cathedral ceiling. The room had a balcony overlooking the woods and lake with a partial...

Stayed 2 nights while visiting a friend in Greenup. The lodge and rooms are clean but a bit dated. We didn't mind because outside the front door are beautiful trails to hike and deer so friendly they walk up to your car to say hello. The staff were more than accommodating. Being of an age where I count cholesterol like...
