Our ground level room was clean, good size, generally comfortable. Walls are very thin; you hear everyone staying around you. Buffet was better than it looked at first, great catfish. The staff is friendly but not super energetic. For the price, this is a good place to stay if you're visiting the park.

We drove to Blue Licks on July 17, 2015 just to eat at the Hidden Waters Restaurant. We have eaten there several times. They have a buffet on weekends. This time the buffet included catfish, beef and gravy, pork tenderloin and fried chicken. All of the meats were excellent. Their sides include some different veggies and some of the traditional... Rooms are very similar to other state park lodges although the maintenance here looks better than in many of the others. Room was large and very clean but the only view from the balcony was a row of trees and a small garden that needed weeding. The lodge staff was terrific, but the dining room staff was definitely the worst... More

The weather was rain and more rain but the food was great, service was great and the price was reasonable. Only my third time having dinner here. Will return again just hope they have there wonderful stewed tomatoes and ham the next time. I miss them this time. If you try them. Better than mom made.

We did not stay here and were sorry we didn't. A nice clean park, with a nice memorial, an interesting museum, a nice gift shop ( although souvenir items were lacking). We hiked the trails and went for lunch at the buffet, which was really nice. The salad bar was a sight for sore eyes on day 5 of our... More

Supposedly the last battle of the American Revolution was fought here. Daniel Boone, some of his family , & other notable Kentuckians were involved too. The park has a memorial to those who served & died here. Visit the gift shop & try the fried catfish on Fridays in the lodge. It's a nice, clean park.

I have camped there with my family for years. The campground is small but adequate and there is a store nearly for supplies and also a restaurant with good food. The buffet in the main building at the park is okay but if you are not ordering from a menu the food is not always going to be hot. I... More

Went to Blue Licks state park yesterday for the 3rd year in a row, for their Thanksgiving buffet. First year it was VERY good, with a variety of meats, vegetables, all hot & fresh. Last year, somewhat less so, but this time was the absolute worst! Guess state of Kentucky is cutting back on the state parks, which were once... More
