Conveniently located just minutes from WKU, the Hyatt place is simply the best hotel in Bowling Green, KY. Check-in was a breeze, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms, especially king beds, are massive. It has an have an L-shaped couch, fridge, and plenty of outlets around the bed. The bathrooms are also in great shape, and the shower head has unreal pressure. The only slight knock is the fitness room. While it is spacious, the cardio machines could use an upgrade. The smith machine and free weights allow for a great workout. Lastly, the breakfast is a nice spread of eggs, potatoes, meats, cereals, waffles, toast, and what not. The monkey bread is a must try. All in all, the Hyatt place is most definitely the top place to stay, especially while visiting WKU

On reading some of the negative reviews I am flabbergasted by them. Our room 404 was spotlessly clean, the fridge was cool, fresh and clean and the bed extremely comfortable with two soft pillows each which my head gloriously sank into. The bathroom was very clean too with ample toilet paper and lots clean fluffy towels. The air conditioning unit was not the typical hanging under the window type hence we enjoyed a peaceful sleep. Be prepared to hear the sound of the freight train early morning in the distance blasting the horn which it lasts for a few minutes until it passes through. The surrounding area is clean and safe. You’re right by the University. You check into the hotel first, there are parking bays outside the hotel for you to pull into while you check in, then you park around the corner in the parking garage on level 2A. You are given a validation ticket so parking is free. Breakfast is currently coffee, tea and a go bag for you to put eggs, pastries and fruit in etc. Overall we had a wonderful stay !!!

First of all, had breakfast this morning, and Max was a Mad Man!!! He was cleaning tables, helping everyone out, getting a everyone’s hot breakfast and doing it like he truly enjoyed his job. Well done Max!
The hotel is great, clean, modern and spacious. It has an outdoor pool, which is now closed due to being winter. They have a nice fitness center too.
There is a train that goes by at all hours, and think it would be a great touch if the hotel puts noise machines in their rooms. If not, put a noise machine in your phone and you’ll barely hear it. It’s not super loud, but late at night, you can hear it.
Next time we are in town, this will be our go to hotel.
Parking is in garage, park second floor and it will bring you to the hotel level.

Since the hotel’s restaurant is closed, I was directed by the front desk to a nearby restaurant, which also turned out to be closed. Nothing like being alone, in a strange town after dark, wandering thru a deserted parking garage, looking for the entrance to a restaurant which has been closed for months.
The rooms are not sound proof, so expect to hear cars driving by outside, and rowdy undergrads inside the hotel.
Breakfast was a bowl of unpeeled hard boiled eggs, dry cereals, yogurt or muffins. All food is to go, as there is no place to sit since the chairs and tables have been removed. The morning prior at an Embassy Suites I was served a proper sit down breakfast with a delicious omelet made to order, under strict covid safety measures. I am not sure if this paltry breakfast offering was Hyatt’s attempt to comply with a self directed covid plan, or merely a way to save a few bucks. Hiring more people to cover Covid compliance does cost money.
This is my first stay at a Hyatt Place; it will also be my last.

Hello, I'm so sorry your stay with us was anything less than satisfying and I appreciate your feedback. I apologize for the misunderstanding on the restaurant recommendation, it is difficult to keep up with who has re-opened after the most recent winter closures. I understand it's frustrating for travelers with the differences in what we are able to offer for breakfast based on local COVID restrictions. I hope you will give Hyatt Place a second chance and if you need anything further, please reach out to me.

This is a very nice, comfortable property adjacent to the Western Kentucky University campus. It is nicely appointed and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We got a king room with a separate sitting area (only $20 more than a room without a sitting area). It was quite comfortable. They have a small bar and a limited food menu in the evening. The complimentary breakfast is quite good for this category of hotel. They even have actually plates, cups, silverware, etc. You can get Styrofoam if you wish, but you're not limited to that. Parking is a little odd, since it's in a multi-level garage they share with the university, but it's free and it's fine. I recommend taking luggage to your room from the main entrance, rather than parking and then unloading luggage. We would definitely stay here again.

This is a good, standard Hyatt Place. Like others have said, if you have much luggage, drop it off at check in before you park. Parking is around back in a student parking garage. You get to park for free. The rooms are standard Hyatt Place rooms which I think are the absolute best designs low medium priced rooms. This brand is in the same class as Hampton and Fairfield but I prefer the layout and facilities of these over those two brands slightly. This hotel is across from fraternity row. There were no parties while we were there but I could see it getting loud at times depending on what the boys across the street are up to. All in all, this is a good choice in Bowling Green if you need to be closer to the school and don’t mind being a little drive away from the interstate.

Booked with Hyatt Place same week. Cost was a bit higher than other local hotels; however, its location and proximity to downtown and WKU was great. Separate and easily accessible parking garage was nice given the snow storm. Room was clean and everything worked.

I stayed for 2 nights, from Saturday to Monday. The first morning, Sunday morning, there was no hot water for showering or shaving, even after I let the water run for 5 minutes, so I had to rough it. I reported this to the desk clerk who said that they had had to check on the water issue for others too and said they'd send a note to the manager. On Monday morning, same thing, no hot water even after 5 minutes running. I mentioned this to the desk clerk who said a mechanic would be coming by at 8:00AM to check on it. Too little, too late! When I called the hotel to speak with management about this and to ask for a refund I was offered $20 or 2500 Hyatt points. When I said that was an unsatisfactory amount for the inconvenience and a small part of the total room charge I was told that was all they could offer. When I said their decision to delay in bringing in the mechanic right away instead of waiting another day showed they were more interested in saving money than treating guests well I was told other guests were happy with the $20 refund offered. I was told the hot water had been fixed Sunday night and when I repeated that it was not available in my room I was told I was wrong. I asked why management had not acted quicker to my initial report and was told I hadn't made one. So no, find a place that treats guests well rather than this one.

I had no problem at all with this hotel. The staff was friendly, the property is in good shape, my room was clean and the water pressure was great. Parking is free and convenient. This location is very close to the WKU campus carillon (bells). They go off every 15 minutes during the day and kept going until well after I tried to go to sleep. If you can tune that out, this is a great hotel. I'm afraid that I won't be able to stay here again for business due to the bells constantly ringing. If I was on vacation I wouldn't have minded.

We had no trouble parking. The Hotel gives you a pass for the parking garage which leads right to the hotel. We usually could park very close to the entrance to the hotel.
Answer from samsmom106
Rossford, Ohio53 contributions20 helpful votes
Yes the garage is connected to the hotel but it's a bit difficult to navigate with luggage we parked on the mail level you walk through the garage and go through a doorway only to go outside then inside the hotel itself ain't strange and probably inconvenient in the winter or rain.
