Front desk employees where helpful and friendly. The outside grills definately need to be replaced. Our biggest concern with this hotel was nobody was cleaning under the bed. Upon entering the room, we saw an empty beer bottle under the bed. Upon further investigation we found juice bottles and an adult pleasuring item. Just several months post Covid we did not find this to be an acceptable cleaning.
This appears to be an older Candlewood Suites, but it’s still what you would expect. Checkin was fine, TV selection is there, and it was fairly quiet for a Friday night. A nice place to rest after 9- 10 hours on the road. Easy check out too. I didn’t venture around, but you are a couple of miles from downtown if that helps.
The room was very clean and spacious. It came with everything you would need and more. Especially if you are needing the kitchen for a longer stay. The staff was friendly. The rest of the hotel was also clean and that included the pool area. There are plenty of dinning options around you and within walking distance. I would stay again if I was passing through the area.
The bowling green Candlewood suite was pretty much everything I needed as a touring musician! They had a full kitchen so I could cook a few meals (and avoid the temptation of all the fast food surrounding it!). Comfy beds, Easy Check-in, and free coffee! What more could you need?
Thanks Amador for helping me out. The original room I was booked into had someone previously smoking in the room. As soon as I opened the door you could smell the stale smoke odor. When I contacted the front desk Amador came up to check out the room and offered me the room right across the hall. End room, top floor. Thanks Amador. Us business travels like to be away from everyone where it’s quite and you worked your magic and made it happen for me. Thanks. Royce Barron
We come every year for a soccer tournament and this year our usual place was booked up. So I start researching and came across this hotel. I am very glad we choose this place. It’s a newer hotel and very modern. But most importantly it was clean and very comfortable. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are fairly spacious. They have a small indoor pool and a gym. Also there is complimentary washer and dryer in the gym area. I honestly don’t have a negative thing to say about this hotel. Everything was just perfect for us. Will definitely look into this place again next year.
This was the first time I've stayed in a Candlewood Suites Hotel. I knew it was billed as an extended stay hotel and usually avoided them since my hotel stays are typically only 1 or 2 nights. Candlewood and Holiday Inn Express are both parts of the IHG Hotel group which means they share the same loyalty program. We were looking for a hotel in the Bowling Green, KY area and were hoping to use reward points. That's when we found the Candlewood Suites. Being an extended stay hotel means that all of the rooms had a fully equipped small kitchenette with a small cooktop, a full-size refrigerator, microwave pots, pans, dishes, utensils, etc. In addition, there are other small appliances (blenders, slow cookers, etc.) available for loan in the lobby. Also available for loan are a variety of DVRs and board games. There is also a free laundry available for guest use. A small convenience store in the lobby offers a limited selection of frozen and other microwavable meals plus snacks and beverages. The room was spacious and very comfortable with a large desk/table and a very comfy lounge chair. The hotel was very clean, very quiet and the staff was very friendly. Don't let the idea of "extended stay" make you avoid certain hotels. This was a very nice place for a 1-night stay.…
This is the first time we stayed at a Candlewood Suites. We usually stay at Holiday Inn Express but decided to try this hotel based on reviews. We had been driving 14 1/2 hours when arriving to this hotel. Employee from front desk outside smoking and asked if I needed someone at this front desk. I was very confused about this. She then had trouble checking us in due to computer up dates the night before and multiple passwords that were needed. She also had difficulty with our credit card and I called the credit card company and they could see a problem at the hotels end with not getting rid of an old expiration date and just putting a new one in. Very frustrating after a long day of travel. We finally were checked in and the room was nice with a full sized applianced kitchen, desk, and a couple of chairs. The bed was comfortable and the hotel was quiet.…
A very nice Candlewood property. Candlewoods can be hit/miss depending on how old the place is and how hospitable the staff is. Both were wonderful on this stay and the rates are really good. Conveniently located off the interstate with plenty of restaurants very close. I'd certainly stay here again if I were traveling in the area again!
In town for business in a nearby town, these rooms are set up well for extended stays. Professional staff. Smooth check-in. Room is comfortable and set up well for more than a night stay. I'm warming up to the IHG chain, and I'll frequent this more often when the option arises. Serious amounts of shopping nearby including a mall, restaurant choices are extensive, and it is easily accessible. I'll be back when in town. It's location lends to it being reasonably quiet, being away from the main road just enough.
