Friendliest hotel staff I have ever encountered. Rooms were nice, the hotel was in the middle of a remodel while I stayed however it did not affect me. Rooms seem a bit over priced but I don’t mind paying with how good of an experience I had here.
We stopped in while on a trip to Florida on our honeymoon. The staff was very gracious and the check in process was quick and uncomplicated. The room was very nice and quite comfortable. We slept well on a comfortable bed and awoke the next morning rested and ready to continue our journey. The breakfast was tasty and filling with fresh hot coffee. The hotel is currently in the process of renovation but they are still quite capable of meeting the tired traveler’s needs. I can only imagine that the renovations will only make things even better.
The hotel went to the trouble to install four EV chargers, and that was the main reason why we chose to stay there. The chargers are in a good location at the back, close to the rear entrance door, but not in a prime spot that is likely to get used by non-EVs. The problem is that there is a construction dumpster located very close to the EV chargers, and any EV charging would block access to the dumpster. if the truck shows up to service the dumpster while an EV is charging that is going to be a major problem. There is a risk that the car could be damaged if the truck driver persists in attempting to service the dumpster. That dumpster should be moved further south, well clear of the EV charging spots.
The hotel was clean. The employees we’re hospitable and friendly. The room wasn’t large, but big enough. The hot breakfast was good, typical of any Holiday Inn Express that I’ve stayed. I found the beds to be much more uncomfortable than other Holiday Inns. It was very hard. Not too different that sleeping on the floor would be. I was constantly woken due to pressure point pain from the mattress. Also, the room will not fully black out. A fair amount of light will come around the blinds and from the hallway.
We stayed here for part of our family vacation and were not disappointed. If you are doing any of the local attractions, this hotel is in a great spot, as there are literally tons of restaurants and gas stations around it. We found the three different liquid soaps in the shower interesting and fun to choose from. The morning continental breakfast was wonderful and definitely fills you up (egg, bacon, sausage, pancakes, bisquets and gravy, cereals, fruits). I also appreciated the always available coffee in the lobby area. Our cleaning person Ayla was also very nice in arranging our son's stuffed animals one morning on his bed! We will definitely stay here again, as my family now wants to explore Mammoth Caves more.
Cozy room with king bed was clean, very important. Room had sink separate from toilet and shower room, convenient. Included were Keurig coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator. Property includes a small pool. Free breakfast included. Sausage links, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, assorted pastries, fruit, cereal. Convenient location to many restaurants and shopping nearby.
I read other reviews, looked at pictures. And my experience is not quite as good everyone else’s. The place is dated (I checked 4 times on several apps to make sure it was the same place). First- staff is amazing, very accommodating, and very friendly. The bathroom was decently clean but there was hair on the floor and on the shower wall. Not a lot. But I notice stuff like that. The setup has the sink outside of the bathroom. The room is nothing like the pictures. The breakfast was alright. Unfortunately, next time we may be staying at the Hampton inn next door or try the Drury. We did get a really good nights sleep and it was very quiet on the 3rd floor.
This is one of the nicest Holiday Inns that we’ve been to in a long time. We put in on our “return to” list. It was clean, the folks were pleasant and the breakfast was hot, not lukewarm and it was good.
My son and I stayed here for a basketball tournament. It is centrally located and surrounded by many restaurants. This hotel was very clean which is the first thing I look for upon arrival. These are a few things I noted during my stay. This is not to knock the quality of the hotel, but i always appreciate knowing what to expect ahead of time when staying somewhere. The rooms are pretty small. For two people, it was sufficient, but if we had had our entire family, it would have been cramped. I did not like the bathroom set up, but it probably is an older hotel. The sink is outside of the bathroom which I do prefer, but the toilet/shower area was tight. The coffee maker was right beside the sink which took away from space on the vanity. The outlet by the sink was oddly located on the wall of the front door. The beds were comfortable and clean. The breakfast was pretty decent with hot food items available. Their cinnamon rolls were VERY good. English muffins and a waffle option would be ideal to add to their selection. Overall I was pleased with the stay and would not hesitate to stay there again. The front desk staff were very friendly. We left airpods in the room and we received a phone call very quickly after we checked out that they had them at the front desk. That phone call was very appreciated!! Thank you for a pleasant stay!…
The room was clean and comfortable and fit our needs. The location was great for the activities that we had planned on our trip. The staff was friendly and made sure that we had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. We would stay here again if in the area.
