A fairly new hotel convenient to many restaurants, Kroger, Sam's Club. We arrived a couple of hours early and were meeting up with other family members. The receptionist was very accommodating, and the manager went up to the third floor to make sure two adjoining rooms were ready for our early arrival. Very friendly and personal service. And the breakfast was a step above the norm, with fresh eggs (not powdered), biscuits, sausage gravy, etc. And priced at under $100 per night. Best Comfort Suites we have ever stayed in.

Props to the manager. At a time when most service-oriented businesses are suffering from under-motivated staffs, you can tell the manager is doing his best. We saw him personally re-training staff on little things like properly disinfecting touch points and checking the strength of the coffee. Attention to details matter. The common areas and our room were very clean. Breakfast was enjoyable. Let's just say some staff members were "nicer" than others. The overnight manager tried her best to quiet some guests in the room above us, who literally kept us from sleeping until about 3 am. My father managed hotels and one of his first rules was this: It's always best to keep families with young kids on the lower floors rather than the top floor. Like another reviewer, we were surprised to find no shower curtain and only two towels for four people. But yeah, the lack of sleep is hard to overcome when you're paying good money to sleep after a 12-hour drive.

Hotel was great. It was clean and looked new. The lobby and hallways were very spacious and modern. Our room was clean comfortable and spacious. I met the owner. He was above and beyond accommodating. They were out of laundry detergent, so he went and found some for us and offered to go to sams and get some as well. Great place to stay.

And that’s just one thing. This place is a mess! They are clearly short staffed. We had to ask the front desk for soap, floor towel/rug, and an actual shower curtain. When we called down to ask for towels the lady at the front desk said she’s not allowed to leave the front desk and I would need to Come get them. She was the only one in the hotel that was crawling with guests on a Saturday night??? This is the same girl that I stood in front of at the front desk for several minutes while she finished texting. She was hesitant to give me more pool towels since she had just provided pool towels recently for someone else. Seriously she was withholding pool towels. They must have a laundry issue. Also bathroom door handle was broken and the doorstop is falling off. There were no towel hooks or bars anywhere. There was a robe hook on the back of the door but that’s it. When we checked in, he didn’t tell us anything. No mention of breakfast or anything else. Not really that big of a deal because breakfast was a mess too. Garbage cans overflowing, stock almost empty. Another friend of mine who checked in before us was sent to a room that was already occupied. For real! Another one of our friends found her room with no bed covers. No blankets on the beds??? Sheets only. On sat morning I saw someone standing at the front desk waiting to check out but no one was there. He actually picked up the front desk phone and dialed zero. Someone answered “front desk how can I help you?” He said “well I’m at the front desk and I need to check out.” This poor lady was also managing breakfast in addition to the front desk. They are short staffed for sure.
