Unfortunately this is our last night at Big Bear. I wish I could stay forever. What a peaceful stay we had. Beautiful scenery every direction you look. The site is secluded and private but also close proximity to restaurants and places to see. Can't wait to come back.

We stayed thwre Memorial Day weekend and it was $50/night. Most camping spots are only big enough for a tent and they are very unlevel. We had to fix the gravel on our spot before we could put our camper in there. We werent even able to put out our awning. Roads need alot of work and are very bumpy.... More

Whether you are looking for fishing, boating, camping or just looking for a family weekend getaway, Big Bear has it all! We stayed there this past weekend and were impressed with the spotless accommodations in the Woodland Villa. There were 2 Queen beds in one bedroom, 1 King in the master bedroom and plenty of room in the kitchen/living room.... More

My husband and I have a permanent spot at Big Bear. Of course we are home for the winter, but can't wait until it opens back up. We drove to the lake a few days ago, and I just wanted to stay. The owners have done a lot of work on the campground since they closed for the winter. Looking... More

We had stayed at Big Bear in the past and really enjoyed ourselves. This weekend was sold out so we stayed elsewhere and rented a boat from the marina. Boat was extremely shabby and dirty. The front desk office staff was always very cordial and the grounds appeared well kept and clean.

The boats took a beating this summer and the seats did look shabby. They have all been recovered and are ready for the next season. Thanks for pointing that out to us. We aim to please!!, More

The owner and her husband were very accommodating to a few requests that I had, nothing was too much trouble for them. Kathy, the girl that brought the towels around was always there in the morning, even in the bad, thundering rain storm. Grounds are manicured beautifully, pool is clean, well maintained, townhouse, clean and well maintained. Roxy, in the... More

This is our second year camping at Big Bear Resort. My husband and I love it here. The owners have been very nice and have went above and beyond for us. Big Bear Resort is a very nice and friendly atmosphere. I would recommend this camp ground to anyone who enjoys camping and loves the outdoors. Nice boat dock. Easy... More

Not very hospitable to transient campers. Office always closed when Info needed. Wifi out much of the time. Picnic tables falling apart and no grills onsite. Transient sites very small with little space to park vehicle. No Information on checkout times No brochures available on things to do or places to go. Seems to only cater to seasonal rentals Very... We're sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay at Big Bear Resort. While we put great effort into maintaining our property and amenities it doesn't sound like we were able to meet your expectations. Other guests at the resort have found our lodgings, amenities and marina to be very clean and well-kept. We hope you will find... More

I actually enjoyed my stay at Big Bear. What I did not enjoy was hearing someone, I presume the owner, yelling at her staff over a trivial mistake. I have worked with those types before - they definitley don't put their staff over their profits. I can not support any business that is rude to their employees. I also overheard... More

We are very glad that you are concerned about our employees at Big Bear Resort. So are we! While we value input, false claims such as this are not constructive. Our employees are one big family at Big Bear with many of them 2nd and 3rd generation family members. We can assure you that no one yells at employees at... More

I'll start by saying we chose here because my wife liked that they had a pool. The pool was large and very nice. The weather was absolutely awful but theres nothing they can do about that but the campsites were flooded out. Even if they wouldn't have been flooded, the sites still suck. The fishing was very good. At night... More

We are sorry the weather did not cooperate with you. Often times the weather can ruin your stay. We have 2 stores on the resort property and we are open, during the season, till 7 pm at the marina store. You do not have to leave the property to get ice and firewood. Our firewood is in a huge container... More
