Historic Railroad Hotel in Wilson Kansas. This is worth getting off the interstate. Rooms are like most historic hotels very nice but small. The staff was exceptional. Stephanie and Jeffery made our evening experience awesome. Dining is in a downstairs tavern and food was great. Breakfast is included with Czech pastry, sausage and cheese. The check-in was lovely. There are...

We loved the whole idea of this hotel - its restoration and return to usefulness, instead of razing it. The building is beautiful and the restaurant is excellent with fine servers. And the two trains barreling through town in the night were nostalgic. Our only problem was with light from the hallway pouring in through our transom and lighting up...

I had room 301 a single at the end of the corridor. Was warm night but I could get an excellent cross breeze from window on opposite sides of the space. A compact room but with everything I needed for my stay. Desk clerk was friendly and helpful. Very nice breakfast buffet, fresh fruit and selection of pastries were more...

This hotel is a gem. Someone restored this with loving care and probably a lot of money. It is one of the better preservation projects I have ever seen. People were friendly, good bar/restaurant and the room was good - stepping back in time. Skip the "inns" on the highway and stay here!

A beautiful historic hotel central located in Kansas. Was only there for a quick night stay, but wish I could have stayed longer. My room & bathroom were on the small side, but being just me it was not a problem. The name kind of gives it away but the hotel is located next to railroad tracks. I didn't hear...

We loved our stay at midland! The history of the building and the town was so interesting. The detail work of the wood and furniture of the hotel was remarkable. We ate in the dining room and they had a 2 for 1 filet minion dinner that was only 23.95. And they accept pets!!! It was all excellent!

You just can't recreate the ambiance and uniqueness of Wilson, Kansas. I love this hotel, with the restaurant/bar in the basement and the staff treats you like family. There are even home made Kolache's on the breakfast bar. The rates are very reasonable and they even allow small dogs in some of the rooms. Plenty of local sites to see...

The Midland Hotel is a prairie gem! I highly recommend it! It is a wonderful historic hotel, nicely remodeled and with lots to do in the area! The jacuzzi room is totally worth it! After a day of adventuring on the plains, soak, soak, soak!

We stopped overnight on a drive to Colorado based on Google reviews. As soon as we pulled up (in the evening) the building was lit up and really pretty. I was happily surprised that the overnight rate was as much as a chain hotel we stayed at the night before where our visit was awful. We got a queen bed...
