Hotel is beautiful. Staff is super friendly. Food at restaurant was surprisingly reasonably priced and delicious. Loved the white noise machine, large tv's, bed comfortable. The bathroom could have been cleaned better but other than that no complaints.

I loved my one night stay at the Eldridge Hotel. It has a perfect location, right in the middle of the Lawrence, Kansas commercial district. Bookstores, restaurants, coffee shops, and everything else you would expect to find in a college town are within walking distance of the hotel lobby. My suite consisted of a bedroom, a sitting room and a...

Nice historic hotel on Lawrence's main street. Legends abound. Even stayed in the notorious Room 506 where Colonel Eldridge's ghost is said to hover. But no sighting unfortunately. Just a restful night, friendly staff, and a good breakfast.

The hotel is very nicely decorated and makes you feel comfortable. It reminds me of the classy hotels of years ago. There are many cafes and shopping boutiques within easy walking distance. The view of the downtown area is the best. If you want comfort with class stay at the Eldridge.

You will not be disappointed in these accommodations. From Check in to check out, the staff was friendly and helpful. The layout of the room is excellent. The cleaning staff take great pride in their work. Valet parking is a great decision for this location as it is hard to find a parking place in downtown Lawrence. Lots of shopping...

We have stayed in the Eldridge Extended Stay building of the Eldridge Hotel several times when we have been in Lawrence on business and have always enjoyed the large room and its proximity to the business meeting we were attending. This year, as in past years, when making our reservation, several months in advance of our arrival, we asked for...

Absolutely friendly and helpful staff. Pictures and decor in lobby give you a real sense of the history of this hotel. Modern touches like big HD tv's, wifi worked just fine, no issues with anything at all. The staff and the history make this place a must stay. Plenty of shops and restaurants - places to walk to and enjoy,...

This is a nice old downtown hotel. Lawrence is lovely so it's great to be steps away from everything! Bed was comfy. But noise from street and train could be problematic. Was impressed that each room had a white noise machine. A nice touch that helped me sleep - still needed earplugs. But rooms lack coffee machines - needs to...

Feels better than it is. Which is not to say it's a bad place to stay. I'd say it's the most upscale and best service within 30 miles. It just about manages 4 star, mainly due to the character of the building and quality of the staff, then there is a lot of effort in keeping the rooms fresh. Downers...

I love the Eldridge Hotel. The history of Lawrence and the Civil War clearly collide at the Eldridge Hotel. The history of the hotel, and it being burned by Quantrill's Raiders (more than once)is amazing and truly a sad story of the division of the States. The fact that the Eldridge survived and lives on is testament to the resolve...
