I'm a big fan of Springhill Suites. They get what the traveller needs.
Clean room, comfy bed, lots of space and a good, basic breakfast. What's not to like.
Oh, and friendly staff too
This one in Lawrence was no exception. Highly recommended.
I stayed here for two nights in September. Checkin was fast and easy, getting to the room was not. The parking and the walk to your room is a bit much, especially with such a large lobby. Parking is also a bit confusing. Had a...More
Located in downtown with great views of the Kansas River. Rooms are large and very clean. The staff was polite and helpful. A little far from freeway but if you have GPS not difficult and lots of parking. Close to a lot of restaurants and...More
Another one-night stop on a road trip and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The air was out in the lobby, but they had big portable units making it quite comfortable. It is nice to stay right on the river and this trip we had time to...More

Thank you for sharing your concerns. I have spoken with my Maintenance staff and housekeeping to make sure that they are checking everything in the room to make sure that it is functioning properly before we check a guest into the room.

Hello Caroline B,
Our swimming pool is open from 7am to 10pm. It is accessible by you guest room key. Our pool is not located in an area that can cause noise concerns for other guests so we are not strict on closing it at 10pm but we typically turn off the lights at 11pm. Most hotels that have posted hours on the pool, do them for noise purposes and the comfort of other guests. Our indoor, heated, pool and hot tub are located on the ground floor in hour atrium and away from our guest rooms.
Hope this helps,
