One night stay. Bathroom is very small and cramped. It was a colder night in the upper 20's and the heater didn't work properly. I did speak to the front desk person who came to our room to check it out. Apparently we couldn't put the heat to the highest setting. He did tell us to let him know if...

The room and furnishings were little worn, but things were nice an clean, and we were very comfortable. The mattress and bed were fine. Breakfast wasn't anything special, but perfectly OK. Our stay was pleasant and entirely satisfactory.

On a busy college weekend it is tough to find a reasonably priced hotel in Lawrence that isn't a dump. I stayed at the Econolodge for the first time and they delivered what I hoped for. It was clean, everything worked, staff was pleasant and had a hot breakfast. Not bad for $90 when every other room in town was...

The bathroom floor had some cracks in it, the room was a little small, the towels were thin, and the mattress was too soft. But the room was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The room has a microwave and fridge, and it is close to downtown while being less expensive than most other hotels in the area....

I stayed at the Econo Lodge for 6 weeks in January/February 2013. I'm writing this update in 2016. Tripadvisor requires that the date of stay be included and the earliest date offered under the question "When did you travel?" is October 2015, so I marked it. Simply put, the hotel is what it's supposed to be: honest accommodation for an...

This motel is nice because you can park right outside your room. But other than that leaves a lot to be desired. As others mentioned, there is a musty odor in the room. The room was in disrepair and not safe for children without close supervision. It was an electricity nightmare. Who knew you could plug so much into one...

Definitely not the worst hotel I've been in, but it is close. Lobby reeks of Curry, rooms smell musty and are in need of major repair, pool dirty but had some depth to it better than the usual 4 footers. Breakfast would of had some protein but they ran out at 6:30 am and wouldn't have any more with a...

We stayed one night to visit KU with our son and thought with a good rating and for approx $129 it couldn't be too bad. We were wrong, and we will not offer a good rating. The whole building needs major updating, or a tear-down/start-over. The hotel clerk did his job but offered too much opinion re conspiracy theory, a...

We were traveling with our dog and were given a pet room, which is fine. We travel with our dog a lot, and it's even okay if a pet room shows minor signs of previous pet wear-and-tear. We get it. This room, however, smelled so strongly of cat urine that it literally made your nose burn. This room was not...

This is a fine choice if you are just looking for the basics. The staff is very nice. Rooms are a little sad, but it seemed they keep them up well. There was a bit of a smell, but the smell was one of disinfectant. A comforting smell in a place like that.
