My wife and I spent a night at the Seven Stars on a cycle trip along the Kennet & Avon. We couldn't have hoped for a better place to end our trip, or for more gracious hosts. We had a gorgeous room with exposed beams, spent the afternoon drinking in the gorgeous garden and enjoyed a gourmet meal in the... More

Dear Michael, Michelle, Lincoln and chef! A big thank you from Kerry, Scott and Molly for making our stay in Wiltshire such a memorable one. From the moment we arrived until reluctantly departing we had a great time, all thanks to you. Hope to see you again soon! Wouldn't hesitate! Best Wishes

We wanted a special pampering night on our cycle ride along Sustrans Route 4 / Kennet and Avon Canal. The Seven Stars did not disappoint. Wonderful spacious and characterful double room with a deep hot bath to sooth aches and pains. Welcoming bar full of locals and visitors alike followed by an excellent dinner off the tempting specials board. Real... More

What a find. The rooms are a good size, stylish and very comfortable - good value for money. We were met with a warm welcome, good beer and lovely food. Actually, really, really good food. Locally sourced ingredients and a great menu. I can't recommend this place highly enough.

We have just returned home from a week in Wiltshire where we were married in a very small family ceremony. We chose to have our reception at The Seven Stars as it is close to my family home and we wanted somewhere which would offer good quality British food and a relaxed atmosphere. My parents have eaten at the pub... More

Three of us were cycling the Kennet and Avon Cycleway and we stopped at the Seven Stars for the night. We stayed in the Loft and Wooden Rooms and had dinner in the pub. We were able to store our bikes in a shed that was kept locked. The rooms were fine. We drank the Doombar bitter and agreed that... More

We had never visited before but were meeting friends who had visited many times before. The food was excellent, the choice and quality was great, the only slight down side children may not appreciate the food as its not plain and basic, saying that the adults thoroughly enjoyed the meal and would defiantly return. A very popular restaurant in the... More

My husband and I visited here on valentines day evening. It was recommended by a friend, and it did not disappoint. Very friendly staff upon arriving, and throughout the evening, we were made to feel very welcome. The food arrived promptly, and was all very flavoursome. We are coming back for Sunday lunch!

Our third visit to The Seven Stars speaks for itself. Michael, the owner/landlord is engaging and welcoming in this pub/restaurant/B&B. A charming and warm interior instantly erased the cold winter night outside and even the other customers seem to want you to enjoy the place with friendly smiles and banter. The small bar can get busy but there is no... More

A great overnight stop at the Seven Stars, the owner gave us a very friendly welcome and showed us to our rooms personally. There were 5 in our group, spending the weekend fishing we needed a base and were amazed by the quality of the rooms. The pub and restaurant was very busy indeed, we were glad that we booked....
