OK, lets be honest this place is beyond basic as far as accommodation goes. But they helped us out immensely. We missed our reservation due to Air Madagascar cancelling flights earlier in the week (never, ever be tempted to fly with them btw) but they found us a lodge when a local guide kindly gave his up and went to...

Stayed there for the day & night walk in the dry forest. Wondering it may be better to visit the forest at the beginning of dry season, April or May, as in October there are not many leaves on trees. But still able to have seen the mouse lemur, sifaka, fossa, birds, lizards, different kind of trees introduced by the...

OK so the accommodation is basic and the bathroom in our chalet was not good. However, the chalets are clean and comfortable and the loo flushed. There is no running hot water in the chalet but if you ask at reception for hot water a huge bucket of almost boiling hot water is delivered to your bathroom within minutes. Far...

They are in the process of renovating this place - downside: distant construction noise, upside: generator is on most of the time = power in bungalows. Bungalows are simple with cold showers of dubious water pressure - it's easier to get hot water from the solar tanks and have a bucket shower. Toilets function well and beds are standard (foam...

We were in cabin 5. This lodge is 40 kms down rough dirt roads from the nearest civilization in the middle of a forest. We were not expecting much. Our cabin turned out to be quite comfortable with an attached. private bath including shower, sink and flush toilet. Only the cold water taps had water coming out of them so...

Have just spent 2 nights in kirindy camp looking for fossa and lemurs especially madam Bertha lemur. Ask for bungalow 5 as a fossa camps out underneath it when hot and full of chicken! We saw red fronted lemur, grey mouse lemurs, vereaux sitfa, and madam Bertha lemur... Truely fab. Bungalows are described as basic but you do get shower...

We were her to see the Fossa, which we did that night. We also went for a night walk in the Forest and saw quite a few mouse lemurs and two larger ones, but it was the night and they were high up in the trees. Enjoyed the walk though, but it is a long way on a not too...

By spending a night here, we were able to go for the night walk to see the nocturnal lemurs and wake up the next morn to go for another walk to see the Sifaka lemur! We were lucky to have the fossa pass our lodge in the morn as we were getting ready to go for breakfast. No hot water,...

We recently stayed here for one night. The bungalows are average and basic as is the food and breakfast, but regardless the experience was great! Staying within the national park, was a great experience. They were undertaking work at the time building a new restaurant area which will be great when finished! Staff were friendly and the manager was really...

Kirindy Lodge offers quite rustic, simple and basic bungalows, though we really enjoyed our stay there: it is located in the middle of Kirindy National Park, and staying overnight there and doing a guided night walk discovering the night lemurs is simply an amazing experience. Breakfast is acceptable, though coffee was that horrible that we really couldn't drink it. Lunch...
