Spent 2 nights here on or way through the Namibian desert and could not recommend more highly. The lodge has an incredible position on top of beautiful red dunes with immense desert scenery as the backdrop. Everywhere is remote in Namibia but Wolwedans has the feeling of being truly in the middle of nowhere, with Martian landscapes that totally absorb...

What a blast. It all started with a lovely, picturesque and smooth private charter flight with Westair Aviation (ask for Lizelle to be your pilot!). And then we had 4 unforgettable days at Wolwedans Dune Camp. A truly caring and knowledgable guide (Theresius - many thanks!), excursions twice a day, the most beautiful spots for sun downers each and every...

We arrived here at Wolwedans at the end of our two week road trip and were transferred up to the dune camp. The setting of the camp here was spectacular - we had the best views from our tent/lodge that we'd seen in a land full of spectacular views. There are just a handful of tents up in the camp...

The Dune Camp was our first stay in Wolwedans followed by Boulders camp. Overall it was great experience. The staff there is outstanding and makes this stay really special. If you consider that you are in the middle of the nature and far away from anything that can be considered civilization the quality of food and service is amazing. The...

We spent two nights in Wolwedans and it was one of the highlights of our trip in Namibia. We arrived a bit before noon through the small road visitors have to take to enter the domain. The atmosphere was already set: zebras, oryxes,... everywhere! With the red sand and small bushes looking like little clouds on the sand, we were...

I normally cannot afford this kind of luxury establishments but decided to go there during a special offer that was given during the Easter period. It was the most beautiful place we have visited in Namibia. The service, the atmosphere and the beauty of the place. We also met the owner Stephane Brueckner who explained the philosophy behind Wolwedans. By...

Dear Guest Thank you for such a sterling review of Wolwedans. We appreciate your comments relating to service, beauty and our ethos. Much time and effort has been invested into making Wolwedans an elegant tourist facility which leaves a light ecological footprint. In modern times, the motivation to conduct a profitable business often overruns the motivation to ensure proper care...

After many years travelling to Africa, this experience rates within the worst. Albeit the setting is breathtaking, the owners and managers have achieved to tarnish the whole experience: staff is heavily policed as to their driving or the number of drinks that guests drink to pin point but a few examples. As a consequence staff is rarely smiling or friendly...
