I can't speak highly enough of the Black Horse. We went there after The Oak on the Green was full. Slight problem at first as we just turned up on the off chance so could only get a table in the bar. Unfortunately as it's dog friendly (we didn't realise) my wife's allergic so we were going to leave due...

Order 6 meals which finally arrived after an extremely long wait at no time were we offered any drinks so ate meal and left, thirsty !!! Have visited this pub several times but this was the last, would suggest the...

Check in is informal, quirky and quite fun. The rooms - chalets, spread down a small slope - are named after flowers. Ordinarily I'd find that a bit kitsch, but it kind of works. The rooms are comfortable and big enough. The pub is sensational, well decorated and embraces its heritage. Food stunning, something out of Masterchef cooked to absolute...

We have been revisiting this lovely pub for over 10 years now, and it's just fantastic. We experienced a little problem with regards to the ladies toilets, no water to wash your hands and no dryer either after washing them with a bottle of fresh water we had on us. So the reason it's still 5 star is because it...

This review is for both the inn and the restaurant. The property is nice. Rooms are comfy and bathrooms are nice. The food at the restaurant was superb; breakfast and dinner both excellent. Staff are extremely friendly. Wewould definitely stay here again.

Just returned from a one night stay at this lovely old pub. The rooms are in the grounds to the rear of the property, all well equipped with modern facilities. There was a small issue with the tv not working which was dealt with swiftly and professionally by the excellent general manager. We had lunch, dinner and breakfast during our...

The accommodation at the black horse is in a series of wooden cabins behind the inn. These are comfortable and quiet, well decorated and very clean. For us, visiting from Finnish Lapland, wooden cottages are like a home from home and a very pleasant surprise. The food in the inn is excellent quality with a wide ranging menu and there...

I have just celebrated a major birthday in the Pilgrim Suit together with 27 guests and I cannot thank the staff enough for making it a most memorable occasion. We met with the chef a few weeks before and selected a good choice of menus for our guests to select prior to the day together with really nice wines. They...

Another great visit. This time also with our dog. Took the dog with us for breakfast and lunch, no problem at all. Food was delicious, both breakfast, lunch and dinner. Definately coming back next year.😀
