Have stayed here for a week of pheasant hunting for 10 years. New owners Sonny and wife Peggy are friendly and accommodating. Driving straight through from MD our rooms have always been ready when we arrive at 9ish in the morning. The rooms are clean and sizeable for 2 hunters and their gear, any more then that would get a... More

Stayed at the Northland Inn Opening week of Pheasant 2016 Clean and comfortable rooms, very dog friendly, breakfast bar, game cleaning shed (with heat), freezer for game available. Centrally located very close to public hunting areas. Current owner has been updating rooms. Definitely will be returning in the near future. Almost feels like home.

I had read mediocre reviews on this place, but it was reasonable, so I booked it. The rooms are pretty decent for an economy hotel, and the furnishings not near as old as some people would want you to believe. The place is about 3-4 miles out of town, but close enough that food delivery is still available. The free... More

Recently took a much needed trip..With work schedules and children and life in general is was such a wonderful surprise to stay at this quaint little motel. Loved the lodge feeling in the rooms as well as the quiet setting, cleanliness and great hosts. If your not looking for fancy but pure serenity we would strongly suggest this place. If you like Holiday Inns and those type of accommodations, this is NOT for you. Very old 60s type motel with tiny bathrooms and even tinier showers. The owners are new, so there may be renovations coming. Not worth the money now.

This is the place to stay if you want the cheaper / only sleeping here Okoboji experience. Used by a lot of fisherman. Not appealing from a visual standpoint but functional. A mis mash of updates that really don't work together. Would not earn a average score if not for the larger prices for even the basic housing that is... More

We spent the weekend in the area and stayed in the quaint little motel. We could not be happier with our stay! If you are looking for a fancy room, this would not be it, but it was perfect for us! The staff was very personable and accommodating. The room was clean and has a mini fridge and microwave which... More

The room was very cute upon entering , then I started noticing all the unfished parts . gaps in the floor , no trim around door , exposed dry wall with writing still on it from construction. The tv and bed sheets were nice however maybe you should have gotten cheaper and sprung for a decent bed . I owned... More

We stayed during our relocation to the area for a total of a week and a half on and off. The Manager/Owner was more than pleasant and accommodating. I highly recommend this Motel. The price was well below the service and accomodations we received. Thank you so much for helping us make this move back to the area.

We have stayed here in the past to pheasant hunt in Iowa. Clean rooms, comfortable atmosphere and affordable pricing is why we return yearly. This stay was no different, except there was new owners. They are very welcoming and accommodating to needs. Keeping the hotel dog friendly is a major positive. They were beginning revamp some rooms and looking at... More
