This is a lovely small motel located just outside of Cavendish in a rural setting. It is super clean and well cared for. The owners, Al and Michelle, are on site and happy to share tips and advice for everything from where to shop, dine and what beaches to visit. We truly enjoyed the warm maritime hospitality that was extended to us. This property would work well for couples, friends, groups and families.

Thank you, Al and Michele, for my best stay so far in the Maritimes during my two week planned trip. First Michelle made sure everything was ok before I checked in. Then Al, on my appearance made sure the TV and fridge were working and ice was available. Al and I had a friendly conversation about cars, oysters, names and origins, best places in PEI to visit, spiders, gin, Covid-19 and of course where to eat. The room itself was great. Clean. Excellent bed, great shower- all the amenities you would need. Simply very good

For our visit to PEI, my wife and I wanted more than a hotel room, a central location, a reasonable price and, obviously, clean and comfortable accommodations. A search on tourismpei.com led us to the New London Bay Motel which seemed to be the answer to our needs so we booked it. Good move? You betcha.

Our one bedroom / living room / kitchen apartment was clean, comfortable and well equipped and felt like home from the moment we got there. Since our plan was to tour the province during our 4.5 day stay, the motel's location couldn't have been better. What made our stay all the more pleasant however were our charming and delightful hosts, Al and Michelle Smith. Al provided us with a wealth of information, recommending beaches, sites to see and places to shop and dine. When at the motel, there was never a dull moment with this personable, bright couple in our midst to chat with and share stories.

I highly recommend the NLBM and we will definitely stay there when we visit PEI in the future.

We chose this motel on the basis of all the positive reviews we read on Tripadvisor but after staying there, I suspect at least some of them were posted ironically.

To be fair, the website said to inform the staff ahead of time if you were sensitive to scents. What I did not expect was the overwhelming odour of mildew and Pine-Sol which spilled out of our unit when we first opened the door. We stayed for two days and fortunately we didn't need the air conditioner so we left the windows open the whole time.

Although there *is* Wi-Fi, as advertised (sometimes), the signal is poor and generally could only be received if you were outside the back door, or at least close to the back window. Often, the signal strength dropped to zero.

My daughters want me to mention the mouse that ate some food that we had left in a bag on the table in the kitchenette. In the same vein, I witnessed a rather large (1.5 inches) bug scuttle out from beneath the radiator late at night.

The location is close to the local beaches and the owners have Parks passes that they will lend you so you can avoid the entry fee. There are some restaurants nearby and a grocery stores in Kensington but you need a car to get there. There is very little within walking distance.

Thank you for your recent review. We sincerely appologize that your stay was not what you expected. We strive for cleanliness and a comfortable place to stay. Unfortunately we were not notified of your issues while you were a guest with us earlier this year. We would have offered another room or compensated somehow.

Being here just a short time gave me the feeling of being at my own cottage which I would revisit again and again. Ideal location near all of the Anne of Green Gables museums, and on fact, just a stone's throw from the L.M. Montgomery birthplace in New London. In less than ten km. or so, one can be on a nearly deserted beach with the famed red cliffs and pink champagne-coloured sand or in a seaside restaurant enjoying the many varieties of shellfish or lobster. We bought our own from markets on the inlets and prepared them in our own kitchen quickly and economically.

If you are looking for a tranquil place with a serene view from your front and back windows, this is your place to stay.

The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful.
I felt as if I were speaking to a long-time neighbour.

The bed was firm and very comfortable and the furnishings were simple and quite tasteful!
In fact, the unit was an apartment; not your usual "motel" unit. Would I return? I plan to!!

I would definitely come back and refer this hotel to anyone. Close to the beach and all that Cavendish and Green Gables Shore has to offer. Amazing food nearby. Owners are so kind and accommodating. I wouldn't stay anywhere else. Best prices on the island!

My Fiance and I stayed here on a trip to the Island as we were looking for something central to cavendish and Kensington and summerside. This place worked out quite well. The people here are great and very freindly. You can get a National park pass when you stay included in your room rate to use during your stay at no extra charge. The Motel is clean and quiet and is a great basic motel if you just need something close to everything and a place to stay. There is also a tim hortons in Kensington which is only 10 min away. So you are not far from a store or something if it is needed as kensington is 10 min away and summerside is 20 and Charlottetown is about 40 min and Cavendish is only 25. min away. I recommend this to budget travelers or ones who just want something clean and basic for a night to sleep. Great view out back over the feilds and they even have a bbq if you want to use it.

It's a nice quiet motel, well kept by Al, the owner. He works hard to keep his guests feel at home. We were just passing by when we saw this motel and wanted to use his back yard for a quick BBQ supper. Al was very cordial and let us use his property. Turns out he had previously done business with a company in the city that I live in, selling potatoes.
If you stay at this place you'll like it...the backyard is so relaxing...I just sat aand looked at the hills and was in another world.
Thumbs up for Al and the New London Bay Motel.

Initially I booked this motel based upon price and the reviews I had read on TripAdvisor and it didn't disappoint.

It is in a rural location surrounded by gently rolling fields and forests and in my mind in the best part of the island, with quick access to all of the National Parks, nicest beaches and the 'Anne of Green Gables' attractions.

I stayed in a 1 bedroom unit and it was clean, comfortable, spacious and well equipped. It is in fact amazing value for money and if I ever return to PEI I will certainly stay here again without a doubt.

The owners were so nice and helpful, even inviting me out for the day with them and offering to take me in to Charlottetown. Just really approachable and kind people.

Thank you for a fantastic stay!

Room 8 is the end unit, it has 2 bedrooms, full kitchen, it does not have a sofa or living room. It is almost the same as the 2 queen bed housekeeping suite . hope this helps
