Kathy & Virl are quite a pair! She showed us around the old Victorian home. It was gorgeous. Original furniture and updated bathrooms. We were able to sit by a fireplace and enjoy are dessert. Virl stayed a while to chat by the fire. I think we may have been one of the youngest couples to visit and really enjoy...

Authentic feel, very clean. Comfortable. I stayed with friends and visited both Dubuque and the caves in the state park. Very good food. Unique rooms. We arrived after everyone was asleep but had no trouble getting in with the code provided.

This was our first stay at Squiers Manor, we only stayed one night but had a great time and ate great food. Kathy and her staff are very friendly and make you feel right at home. Dessert was wonderful, with offerings that could satisfy almost any ones sweet tooth. I would definitely stay again.

We were looking for a place to stay near Dubuque and found this B&B about 30 minutes south. This was our first visit to Squiers Manor, but certainly not our last. Everything about Squiers Manor is welcoming - from our hosts Kathy and Virl to all of the other folks that help to keep this historic inn maintained. The rooms...

It was equally wonderful. Breakfast and evening dessert where so good.Even though we arrived after everyone had been...

My girlfriend and I were looking for a getaway. We made the perfect choice. The home is beautiful inside and out. We loved every minute of our stay. We felt very welcomed and comfortable. I told the owners that I was afraid to give a 5 star rating because they will not have room for us next time. Looking forward...

Last April, on our way from Chicago to Omaha, we decided to take a little day side trip to Maquokueta Cave State Park. After an afternoon of hiking in the rain, through the amazing caves of Maquoketa, we spent the night at Squier's Manor. What a lovely lovely place. The house is restored beautifully and if you have an appreciation...

My wife and I were on a multi-state tour and needed a room for the night on Aug 22nd, On a lark, we inquired as to whether a room was available at Squiers Manor in Maquoketa, and we are SO glad we did. This is the most beautifully restored mansion we've had the privilege of staying in, bar none. The...

We were in town for the fair and decided to stay at a B & B. We had never stayed at a B & B before, as we always figured them to be much more expensive. We stayed in Opal's room and it was the same cost as staying at the local hotel. We were able to check in early,...

We stayed two nights in the Ballroom Suite, half of the former attic. It is huge, gorgeous, and sumptuous. The bed is comfy, the jacuzzi easily fits two, and Kathy delivers a fabulous breakfast to your room. Unlike most B&Bs, she also includes dessert every evening. The Ballroom Suite costs more than the other rooms but is worth every penny.
