Excellent staff, clean, cozy and charming place. Quiet neighborhood in a walking distance to downtown Iowa City. Awesome breakfast! I really loved the place, I was happy with my choice - I will stay here again, whenever I have to go back to Iowa City.

This is a wonderful B&B. I needed to be very focused on my business in the area and the B&B was a perfect place to do that. The rooms were quiet and spacious. The beds were so comfortable. The owners were friendly, engaging, and professional. They gave me space when I needed it and they also shared in conversation when...

The rooms are clean and well-maintained. The inn is situated in an historic neighborhood. It was not far to downtown Iowa City, yet there was very little traffic. The breakfast fare was excellent, with locally-grown items prevalent. The owners know a lot about local history and activities, and can make excellent suggestions on what to see and do. Overall, it...

We have stayed at the Brown Street several times before. They are busy so ring early as it fills up. My daughter and I wanted a post Thanksgiving relaxing overnight. Exactly what we got. And the hosts are witty, intelligent and so gracious. The house is so pretty, and the room was new to us and lovely. I cannot recommend...

We have stayed in many "Inns" throughout the United States, as well as in their European counterparts, but we have never had a more pleasant experience. The innkeepers have managed to create a charming inn without overwhelming guests with artificial "Americana," which is the downfall of so many similar efforts. Our room, the Suite Room, was spacious and quiet and...

Over the last three years we haved stayed there every trip to visit our daughter. The house is beautifully appointed, and the innkeepers make you feel like part of the family. They have great suggestions for restaurants and things...

This is the first time my wife and I have stayed at a B & B. We both truly enjoyed the experience and would do it again. The owners treated everyone like family. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. The breakfast bagels and breads, made down the street, were excellent.

My wife and I made a hastily arranged trip to Iowa City to visit our daughter and son in law. They suggested the Brown Street Inn because of its proximity to their apartment and the University. Luckily we got the last room for our two night stay. When we arrived after our long trip from New York we were greeted...

A wonderful B & B. The inn is very inviting and rooms are nicely appointed with private baths. Breakfast featured an abundant fresh fruit plate for each guest, bagels, fresh breads, granolas, and a different homemade pastry each morning. Also, freshly baked cookies in the afternoon. Mark is a wonderful host & baker. I can't say enough about our wonderful...
