Went to Eco Venao for their Wednesday night BBQ. All you can eat for 10$ - chicken, pork chops and some very very nice tasting salad - some of them from their own gardens. The food was very tasty, the house was full and still the staff managed to get a quick and attentive service. The place is very nice...

The Eco lodge was very enjoyable, even in the rain. It is not for the faint of heart if you stay in the casitas and you are on foot. We did enjoy the hike up and down the hill because we were able to see monkeys on a daily basis. Umberto, who checked us in was great. He drove us...

Eco Venao is an amazing spot that caters to all different kinds of travelers. Esteban and Federico are incredible and accommodating at the front desk. Dani runs the best restaurant in town, and Guillon is around to shed light on all the awesome sustainability initiatives eco venao is undertaking to reforest the area and conserve water. Ive stayed in a...

our stay in Eco Venao was great! first we had a private room with shared bathroom. That room was really tight and a bit dark but it was cheap. Also it was located right next to the kitchen and the restaurant. After a few days we then moved to one of the casita - a spacious room with AC, hot...

Nice place, difficult to get with my small chevrolet spark, hopefully it didn't rain. The road from the reception is all the way up a hill and just a small part is of cement. Kind people. Clean and tidy. Good peaceful choice at a convenient price...............😄😄😄😄🏄🏿🏄🏿🏄🏿🏄🏿

We stayed in the dorm room for 4 nights we actually stayed longer than planned since we really enjoyed it. The room was nice and we also got towels. The restaurant is good but we thought it was a little too expensive as we tried to travel on low budget. If you don't plan on spending to much on food...

Nice place to stay with friends, for a romantic getaway in the jungle or good place to meet people if you travel alone. We stayed in the cabana for 3 nights and we really enjoyed our stay. The cabanas are quite small (bedroom and patio) but are comfortable. Bring a small padlock if you can to secure any valuables. You...

I stayed 2 weeks in Eco Venao and loved the place, ecofriendly, in the middle of the jungle, near the beach, relaxing, with monkeys in the morning! But what made my stay even more enjoyable was meeting Guillaume, responsible of the permaculture there. He organised some walks and activities to discover more of the place and of the nature. I...

We stayed in Cabana 2 with the hope of seeing monkeys. We heard howler monkeys at dawn and were able to see them by the bus stop at the entrance to Eco Venao. It made our trip! The Cabanas are cramped - the comfortable double bed with mosquito netting takes up almost all the space in the room - but...

I booked 2 nights in a single room in the dorms with shared bathrooms. The room is quite small. The dorms and the single rooms are built like a log hut. This means there's some small space between the wall and the ceiling. There are mosquitoscreens, but no windows. It's situated in some very lush green nature, at least during...

Hi annitrom, Thanks for taking some time to share your experience at Eco Venao. We are sorry you did not enjoy your stay in our eco hostel. Yes, we are located in the midddle of the jungle and sometimes animals and insects are around us. Leaving the lights on during night time is not a good thing to do (good...
