My daughter, 2 granddaughters and I stayed at the Inn on the first leg of our "Girls Get-Away". It was my granddaughters' first experience at a B&B and it was MARVELOUS! We stayed in the Sunset Suite...had room for everything and everyone! Amy....and her four legged friends greeted us graciously as we sat in the parlour and listening to her...

This was the third time we have visited and stayed at the inn. Amy has always been gracious, informative and pleasant to talk to about life. Her breakfasts are always very good and the option of wine in the evening is a nice touch. We often meet new people and this time was no exception. We have enjoyed local eateries...

We stayed here for a little weekend get away. It's a beautiful mansion with a fun history. The owner Amy is a wealth of information on the history of the home and Dubuque in general. We stayed in the Solarium room and were very comfortable. The breakfast Amy provided us was outstanding! Fresh fruit and eggs Benedict. The cats of...

Great place to stay. Amy the owner/innkeeper was very gracious and quite a historian. the room was comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was delicious and good strong coffee. The on street parking was not a problem even for our motorcycle w/trailer. We walked over a mile to a restaurant we wanted and though the area looked a bit ruff we had...

I came across the Mandolin Inn when searching for a B&B for an overnight stay during my road trip to see the Field Of Dreams. After checking out the website, I decided to give it a try, and was glad I did! This well-kept Edwardian mansion was easy to find once I entered Dubuque. Ann was very hospitable and helpful,...

We arrived at the Inn, and experienced a gracious welcome. We were offered drinks as we sat down at the table to get acquainted. When the Hostess found out that I was retired Law Enforcement, her whole demeanor changed. She asked if I had a handgun with me, and stated they were not allowed in the house. She said that...

Amy (and Cindy, the cat) welcomed us with open arms and the offer of an adult cocktail, soda, or iced tea. My friends stayed in the main room of the 3rd floor while I took the daybed in the Georgette room. The bed was suprisingly comfortable and we enjoyed the the patio every night. Breakfasts were tasty and provided a...

I had a lot of fun staying in this historical inn in Dubuque, Iowa. My room was nice and cozy and the bed was comfortable. I thought it might be loud with most of the guests staying on the same floor, but I didn't hear a peep. I also really liked the soap toiletries. It was a very relaxing weekend...

“Mine was the Solarium. Bright, but not overly so, with balcony access for overlook of the bluff, very comfortable bed. Private bathroom, and the claw-foot tub was a nice touch!”
