We have visited the Cite several times, and enjoyed it immensly, this time a different reason, to find a new dog. Although we have to admit that Carcassonne is always somewhere we can visit again and again, not just the old city but the more recent later part which is visible from the battlements of the old, often forgotten it...

We returned to discover La Sauzette just a good as our last trip 3 years ago. We stayed in one of the chambres d'hote and enjoyed a n excellent breakfast every morning. The hosts remembered us and greeted us as friends. We were sad to see that Bali, the patriarch German shepherd, is aging and slowing down a lot. Axelle...

We enjoyed our one night stop over in this quiet B&B within driving distance of Carcassonne. The room was beautiful (we stayed in a room named Fitou). Beamed ceilings, very spacious and a nice ensuite bathroom. We arrived after a day of driving at 8pm and were very pleased that when we asked for dinner recommendations, we were able to...

My husband and I and our friends from New Zealand stayed at La Sauzette on May 28th 2014. The location is beautiful set in pretty countryside but just a few miles from Carcasonne. We were all made so welcome by the family and beautiful German Shepard . The rooms were comfortable, full of character with excellent shower facilities. The breakfast...

Amongst other things the charming owner and his family are all very friendly. He restores old cars so we had a good time talking about them. Our room had a large beam in it but we have these at home so are used to it. We would have liked a second bed-side table but the spare lamp and the stool...

My wife and I spent two delightful nights there in late March. Besides an excellent room at a reasonable price we felt like we were welcomed into their family. Both evenings we spent time with them and their children and that was one or the highlights of our 2 week trip. Excellent included breakfast every morning. Extremely helpful in planning...

The room had no windows just two sky lights with broken blinds and cobwebs over the ceiling. The theme of the room was American classic cars/diners and was bizarrely full of objets d'arts which hadnt been dusted or moved for ages. Disappointingly there was nothing useful like a kettle, bottles of water, a fan (in the extreme heat and airlessness...

Luc and Magali made us feel at home! It was the last night for us in France.... And we truly enjoyed it. Best sleep ever! They truly made us feel like family. I have never written a review - but three months after our trip, and La Sauzette is still a warm memory in my heart. I wish I was...

Exceptional service. I do not usually write reviews of my travels, but in this case the service was so exceptional that I am compelled to do so. My wife and I arrived at La Sauzette on July 14, 2011, Bastille Day. Due to a technical malfunction on the Internet our reservations had been cancelled and all the rooms were filled....

We spent four fabulous days in the Languedoc region of France with warm, welcoming hosts Luc and Magali, their three delightful children and dog. They were quick to offer bottles of water for the room and helpful with suggestions of sites to visit and scenic routes to take. We enjoyed lively, memorable three-hour dinners at their table with other interesting...
