We stayed here for two nights in Kings House, room 1. Room was clean and cosy and there was own sauna! There was three rooms in same cottage (also other cottages available) But while we stayed, other rooms were empty, so it was very peaceful 😊 Maybe there could have been couple of glasses and cups. Food was also very good.
My husband and I got married here! But aside from having our winter wedding here, we chose this place not only because of the decor and Game of Thrones vibes but because the food is amazing and it is a great place to hold a truly unique experience. They also have a number of activities for families/team building and the staff are wonderful and did I mention there are rabbits running around freely outside?? Ahhh, this place is just magical. Highly, highly recommend this amazing place.
I have visited this place in January, even it was snowy and cold. It was awesome. You will have chance to taste old vikings culture. There is fish pond, and you can do fishing with old bamboo stick. If have chance, you will hunt your own food :)
We were a group of 4 visiting the place for a tour and a midday lunch. It was very interesting and the guide was a great guy very helpful. A tour with having a go at archery, axe and spear throwing also a go at archery. The day overall was very entertaining. It was organised through a local tour company and drove us the 20 miles to the site and back to our hotel later in the day. The total cost was 85 euros per adult which I thought was a little high. Would recommend this trip but you may save some money if you organise it yourself.
There has a nice track in the forest where you can walk. And you will find there three spring with different cklour. The forest is really pretty and if you also read the legend before it would be really surprising walk at the forest. Also there has a lot of birds so you can also listen "forest music".
