My first weekend there with my girlfriend and we loved it. Brigitte was very welcoming, and provided tasty breakfasts consisting of fresh fruits, breads, and even a quiche for our second morning. We enjoyed venturing about and finding the local antique stores. We already booked another weekend for Memorial Day. Thanks again to you and Miriam!

Our family group of 15 people had a pleasant experience at the Old Carriage Inn during our stay for 2 nights, Dec. 27 and 28. It was a place to be away from home near Chicago but only 150 miles away of mostly expressway driving. Bridgett, who owns it, lives on the premises and is very helpful with suggestions, information,...

A friend booked our group into the Old Carriage Inn B & B. While one in our group had hoped for a television in her room (she sleeps with it on), the other accommodations made up for its lack. Bridgette and Miriam were wonderful hostesses. We had booked buggy rides. It was cold and we didn't know if the driver...

This was my idea of a B&B. Extremely comfortable. Just like a home away from home. Bridgette and Miriam extremely friendly and helpful. We stayed there for the Shipshewana Quilt Festival and found everything easy to get to from the B&B. Wonderful opportunities to meet other guests in the living room or out on the deck. Fabulous breakfast to get...

This is my 5th time over the past few years visiting Shipshewana and staying at the Old Carriage Inn. Bridgette and Miriam were their usual charming selves and welcomed us with open arms..Despite the fact that Bridgette had a lot going on the days we stayed, she made time to make us Peaches and Cream French Toast for breakfast one...

Was so excited about going to Shipshewana and staying at a B and B. Huge disappointment in the Old Carriage Inn. We got to the B and B at about 3:00 p.m. There were, what I had assumed, guests there but now I look back and I think they were friends of the owner already there. We were greeted by...

For a comfortable setting in Amish country, as if you are staying with an old friend, look no further than The Old Carriage Inn in Shipshewana, Indiana. This B&B is in the heart of Amish country - a great location, right next to the flea market and near a major road. Brigitte is a warm, hospitable, friendly hostess who goes...

If you do try this "inn" don't take a room (sunflower room) at the top of the barn! Terrible AC, magazine's in the bathroom from the year 2000 and the plastic flowers covered in dust. The net curtains looked old, discolored and tatty. The bedding looked a bit iffy to me and my son kept waking up saying "ouch" trying...

We have been going to Old Carriage Inn for approximately the past 10 years. Ever since our first visit, we won't go anywhere else. Brigitte and Miriam are the best. They're full of information, very friendly, will do anything for you, and are like family. In fact, they always say "Our home is your home." The whole atmosphere of the...

Good news - Great location if you are going to the flea market. It is also clean and has a "fair" breakfast. Bad News - The decor is straight out the 80's - in all it's country charm. The mattress I slept on was too soft and the sheets had to be 160 thread count and used SINCE the 80's....
