We stayed here for one night while attending a family funeral. We stayed in the Victorian Room which had a Queen bed. The room was tastefully decorated and the wifi worked well. The owners were very friendly. The breakfast was wonderful and was very nicely presented. It's a lovely place to stay in a very nice location.

Checked in late, hosts welcomed us with pastries and tea. Great room is 100+year-old home. Modern private bath. Great breakfast. Perfect advise and directions to our next destination. Would recommend this B&B to anyone going anywhere near this part of Nova Scotia. It was great place to stay on the way from the Halifax airport to Cape Breton Island because...

The B&B is a short drive to the Halifax airport which is why we chose it. It's very clean with nice Victorian period touches. Each room has an assigned private bath. Our Host Marla saw to every detail and made us feel quite welcome. The included full Canadian breakfast was terrific served at the dining room table, with full china...

We enjoyed our stay at the Nelson House. Our hosts were charming and helpful. Breakfast was really exceptional and our room was comfortable and well appointed. We enjoyed meeting other guests in the sitting room and at breakfast.

It was our first night ever in Nova Scotia and I met a very good choice with The Nelson House B&B! We never ever had such a warm welcoming as in The Nelson House from Marla and Darrell! It wasn't like coming in a B&B, it was like: coming to a part of family. Actually a part you really love!...

Thank you Marla and Darrell for the traditional Maritimes stay. Everything was great as usual. I almost wish it was winter, so Bailey could deliver my slippers. Love your dog. Special delivery with the tea on the deck. Your gardens are beautiful. We will be back again. PS: Marla makes awesome granola.

We stayed here on the evening of September 20, 2015. We had a bedroom that shared a bathroom with another room. That was okay because the people who shared the bathroom with us were travelling with our group. They have a separate living area that can be used for reading, visiting, etc. Marla was a great hostess and offered three...

My sister and I felt right at home! Nothing like sleeping in twin beds like when we were children! And the granola is a must have! Marla was very helpful in choosing which way to travel on the Cabot Trail and other must sees!

This is a quiet residential neighbourhood (though we did hear the train whistle a couple of times in the night)...however, otherwise it is VERY peaceful! The rooms are large and spacious and spotlessly clean! When we arrived late in the day (about 7pm) there were guests out on the large front porch having tea, so we joined tham and had...

We needed a place to stay between Lunenburg and Louisburg and The Nelson House had everything we were looking for. My mom and I shared the room with twin beds. The room was spacious with a large private bath. The eggs Benedict were delicious and Maria was very welcoming. There is a fully stocked grocery store two minutes away where...
