We stayed at the Story Inn on a beautiful fall weekend. We stayed over the general store. The entire 'town' of Story is quaint. I have been thinking how best to describe it. We really enjoyed our stay. We did not eat dinner in the upstairs restaurant but had a wonderful hamburger in the downstairs bar. We had eatten a...

This dinner was incredible! We could not have asked for a more delicious meal. There is such history to the town, inn, and restaurant which creates a really unique ambiance. I would definitely recommend coming here for a meal!

We attended a wedding at the Story Inn this past weekend. Despite torrential rain, it was still absolutely beautiful. The staff did an amazing job of making the most of the weather conditions. The gardens were lovely, the barn was quaint and cozy. Really, top notch service.

We were really disappointed in this place. We got there on Sunday night, and got room keys from the cashier at the restaurant. Didn't get any info about anything pertaining to the stay. Once we were in the room, no amenities, not even a clock with an alarm to wake you. I guess that is supposed to be part of...

I'd read about the history of Story, Indiana in a few travel magazines and decided I had to make a stop to see the town that almost was taken off the map, due to being cut off from access to the larger community, which was flooded to make way for a dam. Find out the rest of the story when...

Been here twice now & love the quaint atmosphere- it's like staying with relatives. Restaurant is worth driving to for dinner alone. Excellent food. Hands down best omelette i've had my entire life for breakfast. Bar was nice too. Have been as a couple and as a group trail riding and great times

Wasn't sure if I should have written this review as I was given a gift certificate for the Story Inn as a Christmas gift. However, I felt it necessary so people don't make the same mistake as me. My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and based on their website, the Story Inn only had one room available which...

While we did not stay at the Inn, we enjoyed a lovely dinner in the restaurant. The chef creates a seasonal menu focusing on locally sourced proteins and veggies (when available, which are almost all grown in the kitchen garden) so it is subject to change. We started with the Indiana cheese and charcuterie board. It was one of the...

Such a lovely and quaint and elegant and relaxing place. Really old converted store with farm to table food. Duck was amazing as was Apple dessert and excellent wine. Went on a Sunday. Quiet night. Only issue. Server seemed to be in a hurry to clear plates etc. Not hard to find but dark narrow twisting road just south of...
