This is the second time I have visited Mvuu Lodge and the first time since their renovations earlier this year. Brett and Lynne Brannigan are fantastic hosts, there to meet your very need. The changes to the bar and verandah area have resulted in a very spacious feel. With comfortable furniture that it was easy to sink into, it was...

This space of complete relaxation is just a 3 - 4 hour drive from Lusaka, and that despite the roads being in a rather bad state at the end of the wet season. We were at Mvuu with our children 5 & 7 over the Easter weekend and we thoroughly enjoyed. Lodge is well maintained, food is good and the...

Mvuu Lodge is an idyllic luxury bush experience with magnificent tented chalets on the banks of the Lower Zambezi in Zambia. Being opposite Mana Pools and the Lower Zambezi National Park, game view is very good with elephant, lion, hippo and abundant general game viewed daily. Mvuu is renown for its excellent tiger fishing and casting a rod into this magnificent...

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Mvuu Lodge on the Lower Zambezi! It took us a little longer to reach the lodge in the rainy season than we had expected, but the directions were clear and the distances from one landmark on the road to the next were precise. Once we arrived at the lodge, we were immediately greeted by...

In our opinion, this is the best campsite in the Lower Zambezi on the Zambia side. Our favourite site is Elly. River view, rustic fun outdoor shower and toilet. Fire place, braai area, and a wash up area. The staff is extremely friendly and helpfull. You can use the bar and swimming pool at the lodge. Its nice to lay...

I've been down to the Lower Zambezi for a couple of times and tried different lodges, but none is like Mvuu. We usually opt for camping at one of the sites situated directly at the river bank, which offers a beautiful view on the river and a great, intimate fireplace where we've spent some cozy nights with friends. All facilities...

Camped here for the weekend to get some tiger fishing in before the rains. Guide knew some good spots. The property is nice but the pool could use some tlc. The outdoor bathrooms are a nice touch. The premium camping is a nice touch with a steward cleaning your dishes and starting a fire each night

My husband and I enjoyed 10 magnificent days at Mvuu Lodge. From the moment we arrived at Mvuu following a scenic 1½ hour boat ride from our pick up point, the undeniable charm immediately became apparent. Brett & Lyn are great hosts and manage an excellent team of helpful and knowledgeable staff. With the relaxed atmosphere and the friendly hospitality...

Location was great as was the staff. We experienced major issues with the boats /engines, 3 groups who stayed there over the 5 days experienced problems with their boats either where the engines wouldn't start, died suddenly, running out of fuel or dirty fuel filters. Food was well below what was expected for the premium price paid to stay there....

Thank you for your feedback, it is of great importance to hear from our clients. We apologise for the boats, all our fuel has to be taken in drums 4 hours from town and we suspect a load of dirty fuel which affected our boats. We are looking into the matter and it will definately be addressed. Kind regards Mvuu...

We booked in February with booking.com and had a confirmed booking. We contacted them two weeks before to book excursions and they said they were fully booked!! We had to rearrange our whole itinerary which was expensive and very stressful. Once at the lodge (one week after we had booked) we enjoyed the location and thought the staff were excellent,...
