Stayed at the Hillside Inn and had a magnificent view of downtown Madison. Room was spacious and very clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Complimentary Breakfast very good with lots of options. Hotel is close to shopping, winery and restautprants.

My wife and I stayed here over a weekend to enjoy the town. The room was large with a lovely view from the balcony. The chairs on the balcony were very comfortable as was the bed. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was good. I really could not have asked for more.

This is a fun place to spend a night or two. It's an old motel with a steep driveway, but I was able to get my Penske truck up the hill without any trouble. The rooms facing the city have wonderful views of Madison and the Ohio River. The bed and furniture in my room looked new, so I have...

When you walk in you are greeted by a musty smell. Our room on third floor did not have smell. Our beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the balcony in afternoons with sunshine hitting you on the deck. Someone on second floor asked to be moved due to musty smell while we were at the front desk. They did move to a...

Visited on a stop over in this amazing town, Madison is a must to visit really a wonderful restorative place, a giant heritage site. Room had a great view over the town (smoke stacks not withstanding on the far side of town), bed really comfortable. A couple of things, room door let in so much light I had to block...

Room was nice and clean. Spacious balcony. Breakfast was usual continental fare. Driveway is scary narrow and if you met another car going the other way on it, you're kind of trapped. Staff was very friendly.

We decided to go to Madison at the last minute, and my husband booked us a room at this hotel. It was ok, fairly old and dated but basically clean. The room was ok, clean, but kind of hot. The temperature never really got cool enough, we had to sleep on top of the covers. Breakfast was not very good,...

Went to Madison for a 1 night stay and booked Hillside Inn online because we thought it was a reasonable price and the view would be worth it, The room was nice enough, clean, comfortable bed, fridge with freezer. BUT, they have 4 rooms that face away from the river with no view at all except the drive way and...

I spent 5 weeks in the area for a job in Trimble Co. Kentucky, just across the river and it was a very tough time for hotels. There was a NASCAR race at Kentucky Speedway and the hotel many of us were at decided to quit honoring the weekly rates for business travelers and upped the rate to $315/night with...

The Inn is nothing fancy, but it was clean and reasonably priced. The view from the room was fabulous—this hotel has the best views of the river valley of any hotel in town. And it's only a short (15-20 minute) walk from all the downtown restaurants, bars and other attractions, although the walk back is steep, especially if you've had...
