I was a little worried about this booking based upon past reviews that said some rooms were not renovated, and others from the usual assorted guest who seem not to like old hotels, plus a dress code that seemed to be all wrong for our 4th of July weekend. Not to worry all turned out great. The room (#804) was...

As much as I want to give this a 5 star, I can't. I love historical buildings and can overlook a lot of period appropriate quirks, but this hotel needs a once over. I felt the housekeeping was fair and the rooms were average. Had trouble with plugs for charging phones. Most of the lamps and such were plugged in...

Poor experience. Older downtown hotel, historic building with great character. Common areas are nice. Wedding was fantastic. Food was good. We went through 4 rooms and finally upgraded to a suite. First room had huge issue with mold. The ceiling had black mold all around the air vent and the vent itself was covered in mold and dirt. Next they...

Really Beautiful Hotel in excellent location! We're from SoCal, so not used to hotels requiring collars on men, not allowing spaghetti straps on women, jeans, shorts or ball caps- (it's not super high-end) -thus the 4 stars- We were there for the Indy500 on a week that was over 90 degrees! BUT staff was super nice and the TOILETTRIES are...

As the guest of a friend for an overnight stay at The Columbia Club, Indianapolis, I found the facility and services to be excellent. It had been years since my visit to this club for dining, but this was my first for lodging. To my delight the Columbia Club has kept pace with the times while staying consistent with its...

If you like the "boys" clubs in Mad Men (not mid-century..think dark oak) then you will like this place. The downstairs is beautiful but the rooms are a bit dated. However, I booked through Delta and got a very reasonable price for downtown Indianapolis. It is right by lots of restaurants and if you are a runner it is not...

I get that this is an old school hotel with tons of character. What I don't get is why they charge what they do but have not updated anything since the 70s. The common areas were beautiful. The bathroom was dirty and old. The fitness center oddly split into two rooms in the basement, the one with cardio was no...

The Columbia Club provides the opportunity for a peek at old world position and power, a bit of history, and exclusivity. Add in the feeling of a really special boutique hotel, and the combination provides a great experience. All this being said, the real essential element is the staff, Whether Jay, the concierge is giving you that special tour of...

We stayed at this historic facility this month while at a conference 2 blocks away. We were referred by the concierge from one of the larger chain hotels because they were fully booked. The Columbia Club has a wonderful old world feel and is well located downtown. Our room on the 7th floor was small and in need of renovation...

Not a first class hotel, but the architecture and old styling is wonderful. Exceptional service and the food is excellent. 8th or 9th floor rooms are remodeled. Definitely get a room with a view of monument circle.
